I'm glad that Powell saw the light and broke with the criminal Bush administration that played him for a fool when they sent him to the U.N.
Now he's a voice of reason and moderation in a party that's become all-too-
influenced by right-wing extremists. Hell, here's a guy that (if he were in Congress) probably would actually work in a bi-partisan manner, obsolete as that concept is to this current group of obstructionists

Don't know if one would call me middle class or not but I grow up in a big family with 3 to a room with very little, but parents work hard their whole life providing for us. Today I am making more than I ever dream and YES I am better than I was 4 years ago, even though my stocks are lower this week(better today :) ) they are a lot better than 4 years ago, and 4 years ago my company was about to outsource high paying jobs to India, my six figure plus income which helps the community I live in was in danger of being lost to India, now my company is bring those jobs back and yes GM is alive and Bin Laden is DEAD!

Thanks you mister President for making a difference !!

YES I am independent of anyone including political parties but I am not an undecided voter.

Also I am one whom is active in the stock market(beside my full time job) but taxes don't influence my buying and selling of stock and I would never buy into a blind trust! Before I buy a stock or fund I do my research on the company.

The liberal news media assumes that everyone regards Powell as some kind of icon of political wisdom when he's really just a sell out to the left with no wisdom of any kind. Why doesn't he display some integrity and switch parties?

I'm not sure why Mr Powell still calls himself a Republican, because he is supporting a man that would destroy everything the Republican party stands for. I also am a moderate Republican and none of the reasons he gave this morning made sense to me. I am very disappointed with his endorsement, because at one time I thought he could have been the first black president. I guess we should feel lucky we found out his true colors now.

Then you are not a moderate Republican.

I grew up in hard core right wing household, all the family friends were hard core right wing conservative, they and EVERY single hard core right winger I have known since THINK themselves moderate. It is hilarious to see is.

Powell is an idiot. I notice he didn't endorse the President's part in the murder of our ambassador in libya, or the subsequent coverup in that. The more people learn about this President, the less likely they will vote for him. I did vote for him in 2008, as did many of my friends, but I will regret it for the rest of my life.

I always admired Powell and thought he was insightful, more insightful than not recognizing Obama's long term agenda of totally changing our culture.
