She's guilty as sin -- who puts a pillow over their own head before they shoot themselves, and why would he commit suicide hours after bringing her to a meeting with his divorce attorney? And doesn't it seem awfully suspicious that the "suicide" occurred at the precise moment Tracy realized she was losing everything? I guess you can get away with murder if you're a cute girl who cries a lot. Disgusting.

I do not see how this woman could have been convicted on the evidence that was shown on 48hrs. Maybe there was somethings that we did not get to see? If they have to say she put the pillow over his head to muffle the sound, maybe HE put the pillow over his head to do just that. Knowing his 3 children were in the house and his wife was gone he didnt want them to walk in and find him. Also if they want to say her washing her hands in front of the police was odd, when she had showered after her run (or so called after shooting her husband) wouldnt that have already gotten rid of any GSR? They looked in the drains and they could not find any blood. So how did she clean up? ... I am a paramedic and am trained for this type of situations. If I came into my husband shot in the face I would react the same way she did. There isnt much you can do for someone that is breathing other then get them to the hospital. Also if she did want him dead, why would she call 911 while he was still breathing? Wouldnt she have waited for alonger period time until he was dead then call? Incase he lived and was able to say it was my wife that shot me. People who commit suicide do not always show signs. Sometimes the least likely do it. No one can tell what is going through someone elses mind during a hardtime in his life like that. From what ive seen on this episode there is no way beyond a reasonable doubt that any jury could say guilty. If they really thought she was, there is no way they would give her probation. And if the jury did think she was truely guilty and did give her probation and not jail time that shows they were not smart enough and shouldnt have been able to serve on a jury to listen to and fully understand any evidence. If i think someone is a cold blooded murderer im not going to send her home to be with her children. God only knows what else should would then be capable of.

Without a doubt I'm now convinced she is GUILTY as Sin.
- She wanted custody of the boys.
- He would have killed her then kill himself.
- He placed a pillow on his head then shot himself ?
- Emotional drama througout her interview and not a single tear.
- Going for a jog @ that time of the morning when you have a very jealous Hubby.
- You and your Lover going to a motel.
- She didn't try to assist/save him in anyway.
etc. etc. etc.....

I would NOT accept my mother if she committed such a heinous crime,, especially when the victim is my DAD. I would still have the love but she'd cut-off. I pray for those 3 boys. God Bless them.

So true as to what someone commented: "if you wanna kill your Husband move to Brownsville, Texas."

"My husband killed himself in his head!!". too specific.

"We don't meet in Red Roof Inn to have sex!". Give me a break.

The way she tried to look like shes crying makes me sick. What a cold blooded woman.

This is a very interesting case because there are things that certainly make her look guilty but i think that in the end it MAY be a witch hunt. It is important to remember that suicide rates in people with the disorder the victim implicitly had reach 15%. Yes suicide rates not homicide rates, so i don't think statistically you can assume that jealous husbands are more likely to kill their wives. Also, people make a big deal about her AM walk, maybe he thought this was her having an affair ... hard to know what he thought. I still can't get over the pillow, very hard to swallow, he was an engineer/bright ... also something odd for a murderer to do if you are going to make this look "real".
As for her 'suspicious' behavior i think that she behaved like someone who was in shock or oblivious. If she was a calculated killer i would expect her to be paranoid enough not to carry on the with the guy who would so obviously become a witness for the prosecution. With an impending divorce this was the next step she didn't have to kill her husband to run off with him. You either have to decide is she very cunning or not.

I truely feel horribly sad for the three beautiful boys that will grow up without a father and a mother that had a short emotional fling with a co-worker. The mother may be innocent but no matter how many problems a couple may have one should never ever have an emotional fling with anyone. Be grown ups and file divorce if it's not working out. But in this case, the husband did sound like he was an emotional wreck.

I strongly believe she did not commit this crime.

She was clearly upset during this 48 hours interview and it's totally understandable. The couple's married friends admitted that they could see the husband committing suicide. I believe her and she did not do this crime.

I don't think it's strange for the wife to go on a 2 mile walk very early in the morning. My mother and I used to do that at 4 a.m. everyday before we had to be at school and work. It just proves she's dedicated. As a mom she had to be organized. Before her husband goes to work, she wakes up before him and the kids to work out. I have lots of mother friends that do that. So it's not weird.

This was a very emotional story. I think the husband killed himself and he knew that by killing himself his wife would be the main target by police. He was a jealous man. Very insecure person. It's just really sad.

The Texan Rangers "tells stories" hum, they admitted that in the beginning.

It is totally possible that she really was in the shower and he killed himself. It could happen.

As a police officer, this case is shocking to me. There was absoluttely no evidence to convict the wife. It was all speculation and supposition. It seems like those Brownsville cops are stuck on conspiracy theories and cannot follow where the evidence leads. They wrote a soap opera, and for some reason that jury bought into it! A very poor investigation. Tracy should appeal and clear her name.
