- Is this really NEW tech? We live in Greenville, South Carolina. Four years ago, one of my son''s employees working in Memphis stole a truck and construction site trailer with tools and equipment that included a Nextel cell phone. My son asked Nextel to activate the trackable GPS in the stolen cell phone. GPS provided directions to an intersection in New Orleans, which my son reached within twelve hours after discovering the theft. Near that intersection, neighbors directed my son to an ex-FEMA trailer where a prostitute had the cell phone, which she immediately returned, and for $100 and a ride to the grocery store, she told my son where the truck and trailer were parked.
