This video is super duper -- very well done! I've sent it to everyone I know, and I rarely send links out. Bravo to CBS and the reporter!

We could all be so fortunate...As I have taken several friendships for granted and have lost touch with them. Now, as I look around me, most of th relationships are at best just aquintances. Even though we all have differant points of view, we should never take for granted the Love that GOD has instilled in our hearts to share with every living creature. I for one am filled with hope from these "Odd Couple" stories that I will find my soulmate, my best friend, the reason Jesus Christ gave me LIFE!!!

Wake up 'reliablesource', you are what makes this earth not so great to be in. We need more Elephants and less people like you!!! Try to be nice sometime, it may make you feel a little better. :)

I believe it's a sign of insanity when someone is rolling on the floor laughing when they are sad.

(Yes, I'm looking at you, reliablesource)

If I was not broke and out of job I would have donated money to this amazing sanctuary! Great work to keep these animals alive, healthy, happy and peaceful in their retirement age. God bless you!

Beautiful story! Elephants are very intelligent, aware, and caring....just like our beloved pet dogs.
Sadly, they are often mistreated in the name of circus acts. Search online and you''ll find several articles about this. The animal protection agencies offer simple ways of helping the elephants. I''m so happy to hear of this sanctuary where they get the love and care they deserve!!

I love this story. Being an animal lover myself, I can so connect with this story. Kudos to Steve Hartman for sharing this with us!! We could all stand to love a little more compassionately and a little less judgmentally. Think how much better the world would be!!

I totally agree with the closing line of this story, Peace, why all these fighting among our own kind, if creatures of different kind can get along, why can''t we human?
