What's up with this jury!! Who ever heard of convicting someone because of how they acted or didn't act on the stand? At least he took the stand in his own defense!! All they kept talking about was how they felt when Chuck was on the stand and how they "felt" when Ryan was on the stand. Good job. They just sent someone to prison because of how they felt. Not facts. Where was the evidence? This whole case stinks. I feel sorry for the man's daughter, but I believe one man was sent to prison wrongfully and there is so much reasonable doubt with Ryan Ferguson. Maybe Chuck did do it and wanted someone to go down with him. I believe in evidence, not feelings! They better be glad I wasn't on that jury, because it would have been hung! And that would have been that! I ain't sending anybody to jail based on how I "feel". They should be ashamed of themselves.

It's hard to believe that the defense did not focus on the lack of physical evidence and the troubled past of the 'start witness', the 'dreamer.' How about the hair that was found in the victim's hand that did not match either supposed killers? How about all the holes and the inconsistencies in the story of that 'dreamer'?
Skilled defense was grossly lacking in this case and I'm sorry to see this young man's life ruined.

evidence. none. that is what our court system is supposed to be based on. Emotion. NO. that is not supposed to enter in. guilty or innocent? We don't know. No evidence. none. that is the point.

I think this is so messed up. Innocent until proven guilty, and evidence doesn't mean anything these days. It's now determined by who's a better at convincing. That's like the injustice I experienced when someone hit me and lied to the cop. My car was a gonner, I experienced harassment by another cop and what was left to me was suffering injuries and medical bills.

I don't have an opinion on whether they did or did not do the crime but Chuck's stories are inconsistant, it's suspicious that he couldn't remember anything until the cops told him, and there was no physical evidence on Fergenson. Juries looking at the the way Chuck looked at Fergenson doesn't count as evidence. It's scary how anyone can just get you locked up in jail just by words. What if the janitor was covering it up by suddenly "remembering" it was him? After seeing a picture in a newspaper, of course they are identifiable. What happened to the footprint and the hair that was found? Does that match the DNA of Fergenson?

THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF THE TWO AT THE CRIME SCENE, I AGREE THE POLICE DIDN'T DO THEIR JOB, WHAT ABOUT THE HAIR AND THE FOOTPRINT FOUND AT THE SCENE???????
WE HAVE TO LOOK AT ALL ANGLES BEFORE MAKING A JUDGMENT, THEY SHOULD HAVE A NEW TRIAL!!!!!!!!!
