- As a father of 3 I can say for an absolute certainty that this boy did not commit this crime and the 2 female police officers that were involved in the interrogation of this boy should be reduced to patrolling toilets with a sponge and bucket. They were nothing short of two bullies who intimidated this small boy who went through enough shock after stumbling upon the death of his father. These are two poor excuses for human beings who want boasting rights for solving a case by implicating the most defenseless of all suspects, a small child.
The morning show on ABC handled the telling of this case much more professionally than did cbs. They made it known that it was disturbing to watch because of the way this boy was coerced. CBS however, just told another story, all be it a travesty of all justice and an abuse of power by two hicks in a one horse town.
CBS'' concentration was on the boy saying "i think I shot him,,," rather than on the fact that he initially stated with assertion that he was not involved in this crime. GMA televised the most important part of this interrogation, that being the portion that shows the coercion of a small boy by two glory hunting bullies. - Reply to this comment

I see myself all in the 8 yr old child''s seat. I to confess to doing something that I did not do. I was less than 10 years old.
Yes, I did it came out my mouth without thinking about it. Yes I did it was said to stop the problem.
OVER CIGARETTE SMOKING - My older brother got caught. My older brother had the cigarette in his hand. He said I did it too. My mother then asked me and I said YES I DID IT. I wanted the problem over and my mother to stop. I got punished. I never bothered to tell the truth. My brother laughed at me later.
Yes, a child will say yes, I did to an adult when faced with a big problem. When self defense is not KNOWN, by the child. The child does not know self defense. We follow along with adults, as children.
That child is innocent. It hurts to see a child communicating in CHILD LANGUAGE & CHILD LIKE FEARS. He wants those people to GO AWAY. He would say anything, even yes, I did it.
They have a real big problem on there hands. This is horrible.
Hurting as if I was sitting in that chair.
