- You''ve got to be asleep or blinded by skin color not to notice what an incredibly solid and thoughtful guy Barack Obama is. To those who still think this election was about race, check out the short list of cabinet appointees. Had Obama been a white guy with the same spirit and qualifications, he would have won by an even larger margin. He is simply the best man for the job.
It is rare these days to see America''s best and brightest going into public service. Those Harvard and Yale degrees usually end up in the private sector where their benefits accrue to fewer people. We are incredibly lucky to have a couple of this caliber in the White House. - Reply to this comment

- i felt moved bu hearing the president elect speak of his agenda of making the country better. i believe that he and his advisors and fellow consituients can make the united states a better place to belong and be a apart of. i love the idea of him and his family, being the first african american family ,to live at the most famous address in the country. i am touched and very prioud that america has made a choice so that future generations can reap from. i belive the obama''s are the answer we need to let the rest of the world see we are truly the best place in the world to be a citizen of..may god bles him and his family, may he and his cabinet and fellow law makers, make us proud to be americans.

- Someone said they smiled while he was being interviewed. I found myself doing the same thing. I wish them best and I pray for God protection be upon Obama and his family along with the Bidens. People were complaining about the video quality well I had no problems. Looking forward to the new administration.

- I had no problem watching this interview on this site.
I could not stop smiling as I watched Barack Obama and Michelle speak. They are wonderful intelligent down to earth people and America is lucky to have them as the new First Family.
I can only wish them the very best and success in the years ahead.

- I''m extremely impressed with Barrack Obama and he reminds me of a young Tony Blair who was a great speaker too and had an extremely intelligent wife. I would say Barrack Obama seems more intelligent than Blair and could do for the USA, what Blair did for the UK.
Blair brought a new kind of thinking to the old politics of UK parliament and helped make the UK the most stable of all the economies and has the wealthiest workers in the world. Blair''s only downfall was that he became so arrogant that he became detached from normal people and started making decision based on his personal views rather than public opinion (War in Iraq).
The British haven''t had a high regard for a US President since Clinton. People joke that Clinton was the first Black President, but he was really the USA''s first British President because Bill Clinton was educated at Oxford University in England, a place were most British Politicians went to. He was that high intelligence leader that in the UK we take for granted, that USA often lacks in leaders like Bush, Reagan and Carter. I think America has learned the lessons of the past by electing Obama and realise you need very smart people for the top job. - Reply to this comment

- Before you start pulling down YouTubes, you need to have a video player that''s worth a ***. MSNBC has one, and so they get me to watch their commercials. This thing keeps freezing up, so I just don''t get to see it. Not really in the market for any Viagra anyway.

- Thank you, 60 Minutes, for bringing to us this refreshing interview in the midst of all the problems we are facing. This is an admirable and down to earth family that brings a new sense of pride and joy to many of us. Hopefully our young generations can absorb some of their humility, confidence, beauty, motivation, and intelligence in the next four years for they will be our presidents 10, 20, 50 years from now.
Finally, thank you very much for keeping the program''s standards high. We need more sophisticated programs like yours in this country. - Reply to this comment
- I would love to watch this video but all I get is short choppy segments and every once in a while the quit-smoking ad loops several times in a row. I tried to watch on YouTube but CBS made them take it down. If you won''t let them put it on YouTube, then get this site working!

- I loved listening to this interview on 20 minutes after the airing. I would like to hear this sort of info from the President, and his wife, often. This was an intelligent, informative conversation. Good job to you at the program and to Barak Obama and Michelle.
