- What the Republicans are doing is extremely dangerous. There was an audience member that yelled out that Obama was a ''terrorist'' and when prompted by McCain, about what they should do, someone yelled out ''kill him''. They are inciting assassination of his character, but I think that they would be happy if one of their fanatics would do the job for them. This is so irresponsible and the news media should be reporting these incidents. I attended that event in ABQ and I was appalled, but because of the crowd frenzy, I was afaid of speaking up in the face of this crowd who were more unified on their mutual hatred of Obama. They are encouraging ''hatred'' and in a race that has the first successful black man on the ballot, this is a horrible situation. I am praying for the safety of Obama, but I will never vote for McCain. When the crowd member yelled out ''terrorist'' he smiled smugly and never responded about the word and when another yelled to ''kill him''. I now believe that McCain is so desperate for this office that he is truly evil.

- It''s real simple. The Republican ticket doesn''t think that the American people are intelligent. The Republican ticket is about tricking the American people into putting them into power, because if they weren''t they would be talking about the issues and not the personalities. The Republican ticket is absolutely condescending towards the American people, incapable of humility, and continually uses subversion, deflection, and diffusion in order to weakly attempt to create confusion and implant lies as truth into our thought processes. They are the labor purchasers looking to create a slave class out of the working class and intend for the workers to vote themselves into slavery. We are better than that!

- After reading all of PHOPHETFELLA''s comments, I think I know who this clown is....SEAN HANNITY! They sound exactly alike. Phophetfella, are you just a high school graduate like Sean Hannnity? Or a bottom of the class graduate like John Mccain? Just wondering.... How would you characterize all of Bill Ayers university students past and present? Now...if you aren''t Sean Hannity, go back and get some more disgusting talking points and keep them to yourself.

- PREDICTABLE.
Down by double-digits in some polls, the last things McCain/Palin are going to talk about are the issues and what they plan to do to get the country back on track. "Let''s try to sleaze our way back on top by slinging as much mud as possible."
McCain/Palin are SO concerned with Obama''s association w Ayers that they''ve said virtually nothing about it until now.
Obama served with Ayers on a board for charitable community work. Obama is NOT a terrorist and does NOT condone terrorism.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is a pinhead. - Reply to this comment
- look at the facts, mccain supported a right wing group that the oklahoma bomber was a part of.so palin needs to shut up before the main stream media gets a hold of it.nbc touch on it but didnt go in detail

- Can we please please please keep this campaign about the issues? This election is too important to the American people to let it generate into a mud-slinging smear campaign. Let''s keep it America First and have the candidates let us know how each of the candidates would get us out of this mess.

- Producing and repeating stories of your imagination doesn''t make them so. You can hardly know what someone else has done unless you were there, and unless you have evidence instead of untamed hatred you cannot convince others. This is exactly what the whole smear campaign of McCain/Palin is based on: claims, lies, exaggerations, twisting and bending the truth, fabricating meaning where there are no connection. Republicans live in a dream world. Keep dreaming while others get things back in order. Just don''t stand in the way.

- The claim that Obama supports terrorists only because he knows a man who went against the Vietnam War when Obama was a child is more than a stretch. All those people the conservative side cites are known literally by thousands and thousands of other people, none of whom are terrorists. So unless Obama has actually attacked a federal agency or conspired to plant a bomb etc he is an innocent citizen like, say, any Republican. The activities in question are no crime and if Ayers were the terrorist he is said to be he would be in Guantanamo now. Surely working for the government as senator or running for president is no proof of hating America - quite the opposite. Those distractions are just used to steal air time from important issues for which the conservative side has no solutions and therefore does not want to talk about. But Republicans have their problems with diverse opinions. That''s exactly why we cannot have them run a free country.
Side note: liberal is derived from the Latin word for freedom: liberty. And that''s what every American should stand for. - Reply to this comment
- Of course they waste Palin as attack dog. Anything she says will not be McCain''s fault later. And her image can hardly be damaged more. Great team work there. The Republican campaign is run by the devil.

- My God, they keep repeating the same lies after they have already been proven false. How stupid do those Republican snakes think we are?

- Believe me the republicans don''t want to get into a debate about guilty by association... McCain has several established relationships with radicals and Palin is married to a cessationist...this however is a horse we won''t get to ride because the Obama campaign has ethics and principles...appropriate temperment and ultimately will WIN!

- Founder Of Group Palin Courted Professed "Hatred For The American Government"; Cursed "*** Flag"
By Greg Sargent - September 2, 2008, 6:10PM
The founder of the Alaska Independence Party -- a group that has been courted over the years by Sarah Palin, and one her husband was a member of for roughly seven years -- once professed his "hatred for the American government" and cursed the American flag as a "*** flag."
The AIP founder, Joe Vogler, made the comments in 1991, in an interview that''s now housed at the Oral History Program in the Rasmuson Library at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
"The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government," Vogler said in the interview, in which he talked extensively about his desire for Alaskan secession, the key goal of the AIP.
"And I won''t be buried under their *** flag," Vogler continued in the interview, which also touched on his disappointment with the American judicial system. "I''ll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home." - Reply to this comment
- Short version: the Republican party is run by the devil. Voting for them is voting for the devil.

- If we can''t trust John and Sara to tell the truth about OBama, how can we trust them to tell the truth if they get in the White House. To this I say, vote for OBama. Enough of their lies (John & Sara).

- For some people (like prophetfella) even conservatives aren''t conservative enough anymore. I guess this is called psychosis, when the perceived world does no longer match reality. Reality is that conservatives have been misinformed for such a long time that they are totally ignorant of the real image of America. The best example is in the video: talking bad about things that went bad is unpatriotic now? Well how are we supposed to speak about problems then? That''s exactly how China and Russia are run. And that''s what Bush and his totalitarian accomplices have installed in a formerly free and democratic country. But even saying that is already unpatriotic I guess. Labeling anything and everything you don''t like "liberal" as though that was bad turns a democratic process into a witch hunt which will only convince everybody else in the world that America cannot be trusted and certainly not be followed. Economically we have already made that more than obvious. I guess neocons would like us sheep to hold still and try to not notice until they have squeezed the last dime out of everybody, or have incinerated the world by attacking more and more countries in the name of the war on terror. There is no guns, no army, and no money that can buy what it takes to turn this mess around. It takes clarity, flexibility, and the ability to listen and understand, and this clearly excludes Republicans.
