POST-Debate it can now be said definitively that Palin''s words & actions demonstrate the complete hypocrite that she is. I am appauled that some women actually fail to see through her pretence as a Washington outsider while she behaves like the SHARK, (save barracuda) who maintaines a phony smile, while her body language betrays her contempt for people. This broad thinks the sun rises & sets on her. She has her eye on being President, make no mistake about it. I can''t believe that any legitimate female legislator doesn''t CRINGE when Palin does her smile & wink at the camera. After McCain Palin lose the election, Maxim seems more the appropriate venue for Palins ''Joe Six-Pack'' constituency. If she is representative of ''hockey moms'', desperate housewives should be listed as a reality show.

What''s really laughable is that instead of appearing humble and willing to pull up her sleeves to learn something that could be of value to the country. Palin actually mistakes that people find her insults of man who has been in the trenches on behalf of this country for many years to be witty or even funny. She''s a real idiot by most peoples definition, so it appears her only hope for winning this debate is if Joe Biden slips up and attacks her in a way that people would find distasteful. I''m all but certain that he''s not going to allow himself to be pulled into that kind of exchange...so it''s going to be really interesting to see what her "Plan B" is going to be.. since she''s yet to impress with her grasp of any particular issue so far.

I cringe every this woman speaks. It (her idiocracy) used to be a good laughing point but has now turned into something quite scary and painful. It''s as if this woman has NO common sense. She comes across as someone who doesn''t have listening skills. She hears people talking but doesn''t listen to what they are saying or asking. Which is evidenced time and again by her rambling gibberish in response to questions that someone running for one of the TOP positions in our country. Aside from her UTTER INCOMPETENCE, what is even more amazing to me is that there are still folks all over this country who are actually entertaining the thought of voting her and McCain into office to represent our GREAT country to the rest of the world. SERIOUSLY???? What are you all thinking? Or maybe the better question is ARE YOU ALL THINKING? These 2 positions in our government will determine your futures. I hope for much more in my future than DUMB & DUMBER!

Just some food for thought....

Biden didn''t achieve national prominence until around 1987, when he held televised hearings. Sarah Palin was born in 1964. Doubtful she heard anything about Biden''s speeches in 1972 (when she would have been in second grade), the year he was elected - and the year his wife was killed in a terrible accident. He did not serve till 1973.

Her attempt at a snide put-down of Biden''s experience, and tenure, was a cheap shot, and served to only highlight her lack of same.

Oh. My. God. Well...somewhere in the farthest, little used reaches of my mind I can understand why this hopelessly inept and shallow woman appeals to so many Republicans. SHE''S JUST LIKE THEM.

Profetfella: Only someone from the back woods would think that Sarah Palin has legitimate executive experience. Matter-of-fact, Sarah Palin''s so-called executive experience is about as legitimate as an unwed pregnant teenager''s child.

I wish it were funny, but it is so sad. What is she doing in this position! We claim to value excellence, yet we flip out over mediocrity and charm. Sarah Palin is lovely, appealing and ambitious; she could be working for a great future. Instead, she will become the country''s next joke. We are getting ready to learn another lesson, this time at the Palin family''s expense.

Lets talk about that so called "executive" experience that Sarah Palin has. Also let us remind ourselves of the sparse population of Wasilla and Alaska. The Dallas, Texas area alone has more people than Alaska!!! I''ve passed through town''s in a minute that are larger than Wasilla!!!

What an ABSOLUTE JOKE!!! Sarah Palin''s so-called "executive experience". How pathetic!

As a woman, I have been watching and hoping to see Sarah Palin redeem herself. I really feel for her. But she seems unable to directly answer the question she is asked. I think Katie Couric threw her a freebie by asking what publications she reads to keep up to date. (Remember, Gov. Palin indicated that rather than backpacking after college she learned about the world through reading). I think this is a pretty common question for candidates and incumbents one that I would think would be a no-brainer. Oh, what did I just say?

Well, I will gladly take "experienced" Joe Biden over "squeaky-speaking" Sarah Palin ANY DAY!!!

John McCain %u201Cplucked her from the tree%u201D just a little too early and failed to allow her time to %u201Cripen to her full potential%u201D. Sarah Palin should have turned down the VP nomination and done the Country a HUGE favor. Palin is a COMPLETE EMBARRASSMENT TO THIS NATION!!!!!!

If Joe Biden fails to come out on top in the VP Presidential debate, well then my recommendation to him is to find out when the next lunar launch is and TAKE IT! Any reasonably intelligent individual should be able to speak than this %u201Cgovernor%u201D.

re: churchilljil- "Katie Couric is doing a very good job at asking basic questions of Sarah Palin so that we, the voters, can know her and her position on the issues better."

Ummm...basic "position on the issues" questions like "Why don''t you have a passport?" "What do you know about the financial dealings of McCains campaign chaitman?" and the pop quiz on McCains legislative record.
Usually when Gov Palin tried to explain where the ticket stood on an issue she would be interrupted - see the questions on the bailout, on Pakistan, etc.

I think it''s clear that CBS was only interested in attacking her. All you have to do is look at the clips they chose to release before last week before the interviews could actually be shown.

Palin''s only problem was that she expected CBS to be fair.

The truth is most journalists will never be fair to a woman who''s supported by religious conservatives- they see her as outside the pale (a threat to their lifestyle(s) and a violation of civil rights) and will do anything they can to stop her.

CBS, enough is enough. We are tired is listening to Palin. She is NOT qualified to become VP. John choose her to help him win the election. He knows he is too old to wait another 4 years to run for President. Not too mention he is too old for it now. There are two parties running in this election, not that you would know it by this site. Isn''t it about time you extend equal coverage to the other one. Been so long, I forgot who else is running.

Sara Palin is right. She is indeed the new energy. However, not all new things /ideas are good for the American. See if her new ideas for the country are good. We will find out in couple days.

Of course Biden couldn''t and wouldn''t make any derogatory remarks about Palin''s small age or IQ. That''s something Repubs are best at and no one can match them on slander.
