Republican ideology is responsible for all this mess. It all started with the crazy trickle down theory that the gov only needed to take care of the weathly and everyone would benefit, combined with no regulations to make sure the game was played fair and you end up where we are. I''m glad regular people are starting to wake up to this ... finally!

McCain is a great example of the angry white men that were behind these completely insane ideas%u2026

McCain deserves credit for creating the economic crises by promoting deregulations. All this happened on the republican clock stemming from Bush policies endorsed by McCain. McCain was no help solving it. His elitist lifestyle is far too cushioned from it to feel it. He had no idea it was coming and not idea how to fix it. He did not need to suspend his campaign, the world would get along just fine if not better without McCain. Obama is a problem solver by nature, McCain''s nose is too far up in the air to see anything on the ground.

The Democrats will rue the day they allowed this boneheaded plan to go through. They should have DEMANDED an equity stake in the firms bailed out. We don''t need marginal homeowners gaining here either. We made sure that we could afford our home, so should they have.

THERE IS ONLY ONE SOLUTION THAT WILL NOT HAVE THIS CRISIS OCCUR AGAIN. THAT IS: ELIMINATE VARIABLE INTEREST RATES. ALL LOANS, INCLUDING EDUCATION LOANS, HOUSING LOANS, AND MORE. FIXED INTEREST RATES ONLY. THE VARIABLE RATES ARE WHAT CAUSED PEOPLE TO NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE HOUSE PAYMENTS. WHEN A HOUSE PAYMENT GOES FROM $2400 A MONTH TO ALMOST $6000 A MONTH -- THIS IS A CRIME.
