To help the economic crisis we need to help the middle class first. The economy is crumbling because the middle class families cannot pay their loans and other taxes. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have foreclosed, not because there is no money but because the middle class families can''t afford the loans because of unwise decisions that were made. This has happened before during the Great Depression. We need to use the same strategy as the past to lead our country back into a prosperous country. We need the government to come in and help the middle class. We need to cut taxes on the middle class and raise taxes on the upper class not the other way around. In saying that we need to cut taxes from the middle class and raise taxes on the upper class. We need to cut loans in half to release the pressure of the crisis on wall street. we don''t bail out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac because they will just lose the money once again with unwise decisions. We need to get the government in playing a large role in this country once again. There should be health care coverage for all children 18 and younger or for children that are going to college. In conclusion, we must change society and and change it fast. We need to slow down and regenerate so that we can become strong and a major decision maker in the world once again instead of being a flake.

I first watched the debate live on CNN, and at the time it looked like McCain showed himself to be the more dominate debater with his constant attacks, and Obama''s more gracious responses, which I thought weren''t aggressive enough.

Watching the debate on cbs, however, with it''s split screen provides a completely different view. McCain appears smug when he smirks while Obama speaks, and it is very obvious in this view that McCain refused to look at Obama and address him directly, which makes McCain look much weaker.

Additionally, I found it a bit surprising that McCain, who at one point was considered for the Admiralty, would be the one who flubbed on the difference between TACTICS, which refers to smaller battlefield maneuvers -i.e. pincers, concentration of forces, and STRATEGY which refers to the direction of efforts in a war. It seems Obama probably learned about the subject recently, while McCain needs to brush up on his Clausewitz.

I dont see where Obama said anything new other than continuing to espouse a liberal view of tax and spend hidden behind words of support to the American middleclass. He HAS flipped on several of those issues he likes to harp on, GO READ HIS VOTING record.

McCain wants to do some good things, reduce actual spending, hold people accountable, these ARE fundamental changes to the way business is taken care of today in American politics.

NEITHER has an answer for our current fiscal mess. But I will follow the guy who is sticking to his guns, McCain wants to go after waste, make people accountable, I say let him. It will save us the American tax payer more than we think because we dont have access to all the numbers.

The truth is he can follow anything and anybody, let along it''s a soldier, a mother, a general, a lady, a 40-years-old story, a veteran, or a veteran''s relative.

Sounds like he''s reluctant to let anyone down,

I think that''s because of his lack of experience as a community volunteer.

My advice to John McCain is:
Go and learn to help people in a community for at least 4 years before any debate with any American.

I watched intently last night and found that my distain for Mccain just grew. I think he is ill equipped to lead this country out of this mess seeing as he supported the policies that helped us get into this mess.

Senator Obama was a gentleman, distinguished and articulate. I believe that he can bring this country back from the brink of disater.

I do not think that either one of the candidates ran away with the debate, but I think as a whole Senator Obama won.

One guy is not answering questions,
He''s speaking blindly, lying shamelessly, picking tiny things like an uneducated woman, manufacturing differences within the country, following a few soldiers'' and their mothers'' foreign stratigies, borrowing old stories from well-known history, stealing slogans without any understandings.

It''s a JOKE to have this kind of guy on the stage!

Let''s change the debate to BLAME as he did!
