Secretary of State Rice conveniently forgets to mention America''s Iraq war when condemning Russian military action in Georgia. We invaded Iraq causing many hundreds of thousands of Iraqis to be killed, four million refugees in foreign countries with many more refugees inside Iraq, the building of Berlin walls in Baghdad to segregate ethnic groups, untold hundreds of thousands maimed, all at a cost to the taxpayer at a cool $3 trillion in longterm costs. Nearly 50,000 American casualties have ocurred with many tens of thousands of veterans suffering from brain trauma, PTSD etc.

Why was all this done? So American oil companies can drill in Iraq because the oil is cheaper to extract there than off of our continental shelf. Sec. of State Rice is an oil woman herself who understands the corporate bottomline. She will increase quarterly profits right down to the last American soldier. Russia''s sins in Georgia are very small compared to her own sins and this Administration''s sins in Iraq. The American military does not exist to increase oil companies profits. This is why Al Gore''s approach to renewable energy is 100% correct.
