Comments on: Kite Surfer Catapulted By Fay
- I would like to point out he could have let go when he was slammed into the sand. I guess all it takes to get national attention is to do something stupid caught on tape.
Then to hear a fund raiser is mentioned for his medical bills for such a stupid act upset me. The most upsetting part is my wife has been battling cancer for more then two years all the while trying to get potable drinking water for her small community and my daughter is having a fund raiser for her medical bills, but she can barely receive local air time let alone national air time. - Reply to this comment
- Maybe a bit too much liquid courage; or just amazingly daring.
No matter, well wishes for a complete recovery. - Reply to this comment
- rmurray....you have a lot of nerve to assume that everyone leaving comments on here is a lazy American. I mean if we are then you must be as well, because you are on here and leaving comments as well. You are no better.
As for the story at hand my heart goes out to the kite surfer, I hope he has a full recovery. - Reply to this comment
- Do any of you have a heart? This man certainly used poor judgement, but have some sympathy...he''s in critical condition, possibly fighting for his life while you sit on your couches surfing the internet. I am a kiteboarder and this kind of thing can happen to any kiteboarder at any time. I''ve seen the wind spike from 10 to 40 mph without notice, in an instant. And you can not simply "let go", you are hooked into a harness. You have a fraction of a second to react and pull your safety release. It''s unfortunate he wasn''t able to do so in time, but after first impact he may have been stunned.
GET UP OFF YOUR COUCHES, OUT OF YOUR OFFICE CHAIRS, LAZY AMERICANS, AND ENJOY LIFE''S ADVENTURES. THE REAL DARWIN AWARD WINNERS ARE THE OVERINDULGENT, COUCHSURFING, HIDE BEHIND MY AVATAR, FAST FOOD EATING, SUPERSIZE ME KNUCKLEHEADS WHO HAVE NEITHER ENJOYED LIFE NOR SUFFERED BECAUSE THEY HAVE NEVER DARED TO DO ANYTHING RISKY. - Reply to this comment

- The price for temerity is often dear, very dear! Some may call it audacity, but hey, there is nothing audacious, here. You don''t play with Nature.
-I wish him to recover, and to learn from it. - Reply to this comment
- Definitely not too bright. I hope he recovers, maybe the other idiots on the beach will think twice before doing or encouraging something this stupid again!

- The Hurricane Dolly video is at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqvvFHNF7_Q (the "_Q" is part of the link) or you can search "hurricane dolly experience" and select the video with "director''s cut" in the title.

- That bonehead will have a lot to drink beer over if he lives. Between the X-games, u-tube and all the other garbage (fun garbage) not a big suprise to me.
