- Y''know, despite what many of the Bush/War supporters seem to believe we don''t actually oppose the war to spite you. We don''t oppose it because we dislike Bush. We don''t oppose it because all liberals are pacifists.
We oppose the war because it damages the nation, wastes lives of American, lowers our standing in the world, has ruined our credibility and is causing the nation to sink ever deeper into debt while nations like China and India race ahead of us. Furthermore, it took away critical resources needed to shore up Afghanistan and protect the nation during natural disasters. - Reply to this comment

Even today of all days you can''t help but be an ugly little pissant trying to seel yourselves as heros instead of supports of the worst thugs in the world - drug dealers, terrorists, gang banagers and pimps.
That''s who you stand with and for these days - that''s who you make sure get armed - the worst of the worst. - Reply to this comment
- guyfrompa45,
I''m not defending the conspiracy theories because I think the information on both sides is inconclusive and there are too many legitimate unanswered questions.
I can tell you a few things at least as absurd as our government killing its own citizens to justify
a war: 1)Israeli Mossad agents being observed on the opposite bank of the Hudson laughing and dancing while the Towers were coming down(then being released and deported without questioning), 2) Bin Laden''s family being rounded up and flown out of the country while the rest of the country couldn''t fly without being questioned,3) George Bush,Sr. toasting Bin Laden''s brother at the DC Ritz while the towers were coming down(a coincidence, perhaps) 4) AG John Ashcroft changing his flight from commercial to private at the last minute that morning(something he never did previously) and Clinton cabinet member Ron Brown doing the same,5) war games being re-scheduled for that morning which left east coast air space severely uncovered, 6) several financiers making last minute trades which provided them with huge profits from the disaster(no insider trading investigation),7) Hotel near the Pentagon(in the flight path for whatever hit the Pentagon) having its rooftop camera confiscated(not produced for (911 Commission).
These are just some of the questions left unanswered by the official investigation. No one can close the book on Sept. 11 and say that we really know the truth. - Reply to this comment
- "AMERICA REMEMBERS GW BUSH STARTED HIS OIL CAMPAIGN OFF WITH HIS PLANNED 9-11 STRIKE!"
You''re an idiot. Bush isn''t smart enough to plan something as complicated as 9/11. Besides, Al-Qaeda already admitted to it, so stop with the conspiracies.
"THEN HIS CHINA COMMISION PLAN TO SUCK AMERICA''''S MANUFACTURING MIDDLE CLASS INFRASTRUCTURE."
Again, you are an idiot. The manufacturing and technology jobs have been going oversees ever since Blow-job Clinton was in office.
"AND THEN HIS INVASION OF ILLEGAL ALIENS TO SUCK OUT THE SERVICE INDUSTRY AND TRUCKING INDUSTRY."
I am still confused as to how someone could be so ignorant and stupid. Bush and the Repubs have tried to CLOSE the border and enforce the labor laws. The DEMS are the ones who want the border open and the illegals legalized, that way they can buy more votes.
"WHERE''S OUR BALANCE OF POWERS? WHY IS BUSH, CHENEY, AND ROVE NOT IN PRISON FOR TREASON? WHERE IS THE LAW IN AMERICA?"
billysmith6 (the one who posted the comments), you are lucky that the police haven''t caught you snorting that cocaine lately, otherwise you would be in prison. Get off the crack please and get an education. - Reply to this comment
- One gun in good hands on each plane could have prevented the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Box-cutters don''t work in gun fights!

Bin Laden Wants ''Caravan'' of Martyrs
Osama bin Laden urged sympathizers to join the "caravan" of martyrs as he praised one of the Sept. 11 suicide hijackers in a new video that emerged Tuesday to mark the sixth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

- zootallures2 _ Come on be realistic. Really think about what you''''''''re implying. The U.S. Gov is gonna set it up so that jetliners are going to fly into buildings and kill it''''''''s own citizens just to have an excuse to go to war. Think of how absurd that sounds.

And I''m sure they didn''t intend to put a big hole in the ozone testing that mega a-bomb in the atmosphere either. Come on... spry cans and air conditioners? I''m wondering about the global warming too. Maybe the idiots turned the HARP up a little to high and took a little too much off the top. - Reply to this comment
- You should be supporting your country, we should all be coming together as one. Posted by luvnatmuch at 02:00 PM : Sep 11, 2007
Unfortunately, it appears your idea of "supporting your country" means supporting the policies of the Bush administration without question.
Many of us cannot do that, because we do not belive it is the correct path for the safety and security of the nation. You ask us to ignore our conscience and support a man and a war we believe damages the nation and makes us less safe. Why would we do that?
Do you begin to understand why we can''t? You''re asking us to willingly and knowingly harm our nation. I don''t ask that of you, why do you demand it of us?
You need to accept that we believe you and Bush might be wrong. In fact I''m certain you are both dead wrong. And to support it is to betray the nation we love and cherish. - Reply to this comment

It would be a first, but usually not quite how it goes. It''s usually more like Chernobyl or Honey... I just ran over one of the kids. - Reply to this comment
- 9/11 was made possible by homicidal men armed with BOX-CUTTERS, and totally defenseless victims unable to protect themselves from these maniacs.
Terrorists prefer unarmed victims.
They always have and they always will.

We are establishing a government and building schools for the people. Did you ever think of that? We need to be working together not against eachother. There used to be a saying AN EYE FOR AN EYE! People were killed innocent people. We did nothing to deserve this. So my conclusion is this: I am thankful that OUR UNITED STATES MILITARY is defending our country and doing what they need to do to make sure we are not attacked again and also helping people to be free in a 3rd world country. WE NEED TO STAND UP AND BE THE UNTIED STATES OF AMERICA - Reply to this comment
- 911 was a tragic event.
No matter who made it happen.

- Some of you need to sit and think about all your saying.9/11was a tragedy for the United States. You should be supporting your country, we should all be coming together as one. Not against eachother. Our president is Bush you should be supporting him through thick and thin. alot more people liked him before the war. War is a hard thing and time to go through. Parents are upset that children are going over to Iraq to fight for our country! What else is a Military for? its not just a free ride in life. The war does not need to be posted all over the news that''s why it is causing so much chaos. When the other wars in the past were going on the world was not against it. A lot of that has to do with it not being posted everywhere. WWII was a huge deal too was attacked by surprise just like 9/11. We did what we had to do the the people who did this to us. People has nothing to say when the atomic bomb was released. We have no idea what is really going on over there but we should be supportive. We are only seeing the bad and not the good our military is doing.

- Getting beyond this day every year is stressful. I can''t imagine being a family member of someone lost. I have lost people I love..to murder...to illness...to auto accidents. It isn''t easy. But I still choose to honor their lives over the last minutes that led to their deaths. Grief is personal. Celebrating life is a free-for-all.

- newster1 - you''''re gonna compare highway accidents to the murder of almost 3,000 people.. Now I have heard from the biggest MORON of them all.

But with a murder rate of 40,000 to 60,000 a year, why would an inside job be so hard to believe? - Reply to this comment
It is time to move on, remember and never forget, a national day of mourning remembrance maybe, but this is really not healthy, the political exploitation of wallowing in victmhood is not how I choose to remember the victims and that day. The prince of Saudi is a mass murder nothing more and he needs to be caught and killed as should any terrorist like Tim McVey.
Take action call your Senator and Congressman and tell them to make the Prince of Saudi captures priority Number 1.

- 2,900 v/s 42,000 a year in preventable automobile accidents, which is more significant and demands at least this much attention if not more in the media?
Posted by newster1 at 01:37 PM : Sep 11, 2007
Sadly, that is very close to the murder rate too. Americans kill more Americans than all of our enemies combined have ever.
Israelis and Palestinians killed less in the 5 year Indifada, than Americans killed each other in ONE year in several states.
Americans kill more Americans in one year than died in the Vietnam War. - Reply to this comment
