First off, though I realize the bias and address that foremost, Bush's "staunchy" defending of the war in Iraq. This is unfounded 100% opinion.

Would you have just sat around and did nothing? Wow, your an impressive president if you said no. At least he 'did' something. While 90% of the pollers said to respond, why is it way more than half 'flip-flopped', as the term has been applied to John Kerry frequently, because people base their judgement of immediate emotion. Bush is human also, not an all exuberant leader.

Which brings me to my main grievance with this article. Though this will seem minuscule, the continual refering to President Bush as 'Mr.', stripping him of his title is shameful and should be highly looked down apon. Notice another president that was treated like this was Lincoln, and he was one of the most famous presidents we ever had in America. The fact that you would bring an insult as far as to damage the presidential position more than it already has been is a disgrace. The thing we need most is a strong president, but we take that away more and more with every dent we put in the Presidential status. Ever since Reagan, it's decreased to a nothingness.

President Bush.

As you guys and girls recall this idiot calling himself president by denial told Osama bin Lqaden to bring it on while standing on the ship about 3 years aglo. Well he has brought and the draft dodging *** has not got a clue as to which to do "to *** or go blind", I surely know if Mr J Kerry was there he would know what to do, as he did in Nam I don't think we would be in this disgrace in which gw bush hs put the US of A. This is what stealing something will do for you. And by the way gw bush did not give the man a $3000 rebate the American tax payers did something gw bush and d cheney did not do is pay their fair share of. I am A very mad republican in Texas. All this Bush Bashing is counterproductive, he is the only president we have and he is going to be President for two more years no mater what you all say. I feel we should all try to work with him to make America better. We have an election coming up in November of this year for the Senate and congress amoung other office's. I hope you all vote, I do!
As far as Bush being stupid,dumb,dim-witted,and a moron, all I know for shure is he is Preident of the most powerfull country in the world and you are not! GOD BLESS the USA and George BUSH!!

In a way, I guess that answers my question.

(the one about you being six, that is, not the one where I asked you to back up something you said)

Guess you would rather think about the fantasy world of maybe and maybe rather than the real world of troubles.

You sound a like lot Bush, both avoid reality.

You ask me to name one thing Bush has done for me. I name one thing he's done for me. Then you pretend you asked me to name everything he's done for me. Are you six?

And STOP AVOIDING THE QUESTION. YOU SAID Clinton would NEVER have invaded Iraq after 9/11. YOU SAID IT. Don't make wild statements and then act like you don't have to BACK IT UP. How can you say Bill Clinton would never invade Iraq when he silently watched Hillary vote to authorize that very thing? Bush had the same intelligence that Clinton had. Hillary said that on CNN. If Bush were lying, both Clintons would know it. How could the great Bill Clinton fail to stand up for his nation and the innocent civilians of Iraq? How could Hillary vote to authorize the war?

Don't start bringing up a laundry list of new debates. Finish this one first. You can't just run to a new fight because this one isn't going well for you. Technically, though, I guess that WAS John Kerry's "plan" for Iraq.

Guessing what Clinton might have done or might not have done is avoiding the real problems we face today.

The fact is we are stuck in Iraq, spending billions every week, going more and more in debt and have no reasonable way out.

Another fact, the economy is on a downward spiral, because we are too strongly tied to oil as a resource. We need to get off the oil bus and drilling in the Artic or Gulf is no answer. We need a renewable, sustainable source of energy.

Another fact, our elderly have no decent healthcare.

Another fact, we need a fix for social security.

Another fact, our trade agreements suck. They leave us holding the bag while China makes off like a bandit.

Another fact, immigration problems needs to be resolved.

Another fact, drug use and HIV rates or sky rocketing amoung teens.

All these are major problems that need addressing and Bush spends more time on Iraq than he does on this country.

Your $3000 was a nice gift, but if that is all you get from Bush, you are too easily satisfied. I expect more from a president. A lot more.

jh, I'll edit my own questions, thank you. The entire question was:

"How can you be sure Bill Clinton would never invade Iraq when he silently watched Hillary vote to authorize that very thing?"

Your reply about Clinton not invading Iraq prior to 9/11 has nothing to do with my question about invading Iraq after 9/11. Again, Bush had the same intelligence that Clinton had. If Bush were lying, Clinton would know it. How could the great Bill Clinton fail to stand up for his nation and the innocent civilians of Iraq?

Changing the subject, eh? OK, one thing? He signed a bill that gave me a $3,000 tax credit for buying a hybrid. Now back to the question you keep ignoring. How can you be sure Bill Clinton would never invade Iraq when he silently watched Hillary vote to authorize that very thing? Bush had the same intelligence that Clinton had. If Bush were lying, Clinton would know it. How could the great Bill Clinton fail to stand up for his nation and the innocent civilians of Iraq?

bekaheatworl, the great thing about this country is we don't have to endure anyone more than 8 years unless they are impeached or resign. I am hoping for impeachment myself. Bush certainly deserves it.

Tell me, please. Just what has he done for you that you support him. And please don't say "just because he is president." That kind of mindless thinking is what leads to disasters. Just give me one good solid non partisan reason you support him, cause I can list a hundred why I don't. And I don't even have to start on opinions. One of my gripes is the way out of line budget my kids will have to pay for.

clestes, I didn't ask you what he said to her or what she said to him. I'm talking about what she said with her vote and what he said with his silence. And no, she does not agree with you that it was wrong to go to Iraq. Her issues are with the period after Saddam was captured.

This ties in to my earlier comment. I do not care about how Clinton,FDR,Kennedy,or any polical leaders we have that have had marrital affairs. I am interested in what a political leader can do for this country and the majority of its people. According to just about everything I read the majority of America is lower class income,or lower middle class income people. These are the people that need help in the form of minumum wage increases, enhanced job-training,career training, college educations, skills training, lower gasoline and utility costs. If a person who runs for president or any other political office has a plan to help all Americans, not just rich people in the form of job-training,lower fuel prices, keeping the economy growing, keep job creation up etc. If that kind of person is running for office with a good plan for America like what I mentioned, I don't care if he is a liberal-leaning athiest that doesn't even believe in God, I will support that person. I do not like it that my generation(generationXers between 20 and 30 and younger baby-boomers are having to face a future without Social Security because our politicans failed to plan for the future of Social Security or maybe they just did not want to plan, since it was democrat FDR who started it.

Yeah, we should be more like FDR. Nah, then we'd have to put all the Muslim-Americans in relocation camps.

We have no idea of what he said to her or what she said to him. And she thinks Iraq is as big a mistake as I do.

I hope whoever made a comment comparing liberals to FDR will read this. FDR was not a do nothing president. FDR got this country our of a depression, put people back to work, got the economy moving again. Of course some upper-class,rich people, probably Republicans,hard-core conservative, probably did not like him since he wanted to help poor working people, lower and upper middle class people, etc. The republicans who tried to oust him as president did probably make comments in campaigns like FDR only fought the depression and fought for poor, working class people in order to win votes, but I say with the creation of Social Security(Which Bush and the GOP want to phase out after many people have paid SS taxes for years like myself)and American Prosperity that followed after FDR's election and during his terms and during and when Truman kicked Japanese but in the war, I think that FDR's administration and Trumans did more that many other administration before and after.

clestes, are you telling me that Bill Clinton stayed silent while Hillary voted for a war they both knew was terribly wrong?

And, by the way, she has most certainly not said she was wrong to vote for the war. She still stands by her vote.
