Many years ago, while aboard ship, I had a division officer who was physically fit but had a shiney bald head with hair on the sides like a "friar tuck". One day in conversation he said something and it has always stuck with me. He said with a smile, "GOD created only so many perfect heads, the rest he covered with hair." Since that day my attitude was changed. I truely wish Miss Delaware the very best life has to offer.
I admire these 2 young ladies so much. I started loosing my hair when I had my first child in 1980. By the time my second son was born, I lost all of my hair and eye lashes and eye brows. I went to so many doctors trying to get them to fix me, but I eventually realized, I was not broken. The treatments were way worse than the condition, It has been 30 years since I had any hair, I wear a wig outside, and tend not to speak of it unless someone asks. Both of the young ladies are beautiful.

Pay not attention to Funbun - Obviously she is uneducated. For all of you out there who hyave a daughter,wife, mother, grandmother,cousin, sister in law,friend or any other female with Alopecia Areata , Universalis or another form, God bless you. My daughter Megan is just as beautiful to me now as the day she was the day she was born_ Bald. She had hair for 18 years. That hair did not make her who she is, nor will it stop her from living her life without it. My beautiful daughter, now 25 years old, will be married next year to the man of her dreams, a wonderful man who happens to have hair- (can you believe that?) So what? - Hair- with or without it, if you have no substance inside your heart,you are left with nothing. Pay no attention to those who just don't get it. They have enough of themselves to put up with.
The message behind the lady'y lost oF hair is you don't have to have a full head of hair to be female.People are not use to a woman with no hair ot little of it but id fine of males are bald..As a people place place place yer ideas of what the genders should look like and if we can't fit yer narrow minded mold then ye can't cope..So some of ye are saying she should shave what little hair that ye see..Wig won't stay on a bold head and why should she be forced to wear a wig if she perfers not to..The bloody wigs are hot..Yet others are uncomfortable well the lady has alot to be able to stand up to the people and shut out the rude remarks..Some people may be thinking how could she go on national TV withno hair or no wig..The lady does not have to explaie the reasons..People lose their hair..It use to shock me years ago..I was sitting in a VA Hospital waiting room years ago as my roommate is a vetand there were weomen vets bollding. I asked my friend about it. I thought it odd as I have never seen it before. Yet why must a girl/woman be shamed that she is bold,,It is not her fualt..The only thing is people don't want to see it..Or they can't explain it to their girls who have a full head of hair..People just can't handle it if the person is different from the norm..I think the little girl handle her boldness well with the lady who also has the same thing on TV. I hope the lady is able to educate others. She does not have to but thinks of others and maybe will help others in the same boat..
If she shaved her head, she'd look good, but that wretched patchwork of hair she has now almost made me dry heave. Bald is beautiful, while that splotchy look is not.

I have to say this..Don't let the the old church lady **** ye off..Years ago I was made fun of and if I just paid no attn then they learnt they lost and shut up..I am a sp needs person..I think the problem lays in this..Perople place what ladies should look like,,The long hair,the thin sexy body ,etc..We don't all fit that mold..If a lady has no hair due to a medical reason..So what..Yes dear them human hair wigs are costly..People have to learn the lesson that just cos a lady is bale --she is still a lady with/without..I have seen bale wemen..I was shocked at first..It is something that can't be helpped..If I was to lose my hair..I will not wear a wig..I have hair that fall out..I pick it up..No bale spots just thining from age. I think the girl can be her and if her earns the crown then she is who she is..Some girls get gary hairs in their teens..I knew a woman who did..That lady who said them cutting remarks reminds of a story in her Bible..James ch 2..It deals with what people look like..iT talks about showing favour towards others..I thing the Golden Rule is for all. I t\\had a teacher talk about words and their power and they do..Best wishes to the young lady who chose to stand up to the plate and leave the wig home..There is nothing shameful if she is bale..As a blind person, the sighted have asked the this/that about my world..I am a human being..I don't have to explain my blindness with every person I meet. Nor do the ladies who are hairless. I was born too early and I was bale without no nails when born..There is no reason to be upset as that won't help.. I am appalled some are dumb..I will tell ye this I was pissed when a churchy person told me if I believe in Jesue ye would not be blind..Right on the bus..I dressed him down..My walk with Jesus is bewteen me and Him..Their bloody pity..I am 55..

My daughter was made fun of thru out all of middle school and high school, it took her self-esteem to the lowest it could go. This is not the childs fault in anyway shape or form! Do you honestly in the little brain you may have a girl would wnats this. To call them freaks only shows what type of person you really are. Lets see you fork out the money it costs for the wigs and the doctors to stick your child with needles in there head to try and get the hair to grow back!! the wigs can run from $40.00- 5,000.00 for real hair. Watching my daughter graduate high school and go on the college was truly priceless with all she has overcome.
