ralpherus. Ranting will not get your party back in office. What are you suggesting in your name-calling? For "real" Americans to take to the streets with guns to violently overthrow our government? Don't like our current president? Work for change like he did. Infantile remarks and mud-slinging is not likely to get the job done, is it?

I am not a fan of Sarah Palin. That being said, it may be for different reasons. Politically she believes what she believes....ideology is a pendulum and it swings back and forth through time nationally.
She lacks introspection, and like our former president lacks insight and curiousity. This is a dangerous combination because after living through eight years of the thought processes of a "dry drunk"(all who are or have recovering alcoholics in their circles know what I mean)they depend on gut reactions to decide matters. Her gut is as immature as Bush's and slightly more dangerous as she has no one warning her of the results of her decision...she depends on few if any of her insiders. She lacks knowledge of our country's politics and decisions to make a reasonable decision.(those who ignore history are destined to repeat it)
She is wildly popular and has the ability to wink and nod and slang her way through a speech, but when asked a question requiring a substantive answer, winks and nods some more and can't focus on giving a thoughtful answer. She has slogans and pithy responses and has no depth except "political savy".
She refuses to learn or catch up intellectually and relies soley on politics to get her through each event or situation. This is apparent by her "good bye" speech which was not thought out beyond the sound bite. She discribed a quiter then became one....odd.
She is a pawn for the republican party and is not aware of it. She's all they have to draw a crowd. Even McCain has distanced himself from her because beyond "support our troops" and the "god card" she has nothing to say. She is ultimatley a dangerous liability.
For 2012 and beyond, the shovel that we need to dig ourselves out of the Bush mess can no longer be as big if we need it for her messes.

And finally, I have learned also that when a politician says they want to spend more time with their family, it usually means that there is something afoot. Let's see what happens. I am not sure that she is a lightning rod of thought...just a train wreck that is hard not to watch.

Where does one start? Talking points from Rush are slopped all over your comments. Your president Bush used his daddy's strings to get into Yale and had less than stellar grades but no one was blaming his success on being white. Your comments appear racist and painting Americans who voted for our President (yes, he did win the election, didn't he?) as the real racists is patently absurd. Bush policies are directly responsible for the decline of our economic system and it will take more than six months to fix the problems created by the right wing who allowed their greed to overshadow morals. Let's place the blame squarely where it belongs, on the conservatives who brought this country to its knees.

The obvious point that, for some odd reason, needs to be repeated:

Sarah Palin has the political acumen of a styrofoam cup. And i hope the fringies continue their adoration of her pretty face and divisive hate speech.

This erratic move further highlights just how flaky Sarah Palin is. (Thankfully, the majority knew it all along.)

popa, you hit it on the head. Cashola. There is more at work here that she lets on. The fact that she sicced her attack attorneys on bloggers who suggested the "tip of the iceberg" regarding more legal problems speaks volumes. The FBI has stated that there is no investigation, but we have not yet heard from the IRS who is looking into the Wasilla Sports Arena and the work done for her home for free by the same contractors. She is going to need a load of money to keep her creditors at bay when the facts come to light. I don't blame her for wanting to cash in before the s**t hits the fan.

Hey you just go right on blaming EVERYONE else! LOL Just go right on insulting American's who KNOW the difference... I know that's helping your cause a LOT! LOL I watched and I listened... there was NO hatchet job. She lost because America rejected her Stay the Course approach to dealing with our economy and the problems we face.

'Hey, just sit down and shut up,' but that's a worthless, easy path out," she said Friday. "That's a quitter's way out."

So, she quit.

..... She really did QUIT. Dumb Repugs !
