Why would anyone think Palin capable of fading the heat in the presidential kitchen when she shows us all that the gunernatorial kitchen generates more heat than she's capable of withstanding?

That wouldn't work. The rich, old, white repub men only like young women. She'll be 50 by the next election - way too old for them. She's gotta take the money and run now.

ladypirate, quitting your job as governor because you've been elected president is different than quitting in the middle of your term. He was still governor when he was elected. If barbie had been elected vice president (shivers) no one would have said she was quitting her job.

So Republican "strategists" are now predicting that this might hurt her prospects for running in 2012. Gee whillikers! Guess it hasn't dawned even yet on these anti-evolutionists that her being a complete imbecile in 2008 already affected her so-called prospects. (Now, say goodnight Sarah...."By golly goodnight Sarah.")

Praise God for the likes of Sarah Palin and her family. She is a true American and Conservative, and I believe you will see much more of her in the future. If you liberals do not like America and what it really stands for, try living in a nation that controls all your rights. Bet you have never encountered that before uh?

Talk about rights----Bush took away many of our rights. George Bush totally ran over all our rights with increased anti-terrorist activities. The Republicans are still trying to make an environment which favors the few rich and they use all these emotional issues like "family values" and "abortion" to just stir up votes from conservatives. Most of us are middle-of-the road who want to work things out so that all of us have a equal chance----that is what America is really about. Support Obama and forget radicals like Palin who only want to make trouble. Can't you see that she lacks maturity, wisdom, character and intelligence?

Palin hurt any chances she had for a presidential bid by proving she was incompetent while running for VP in 2008. She could remain governor of Alaska 'til the cows come home and have two or three more exorcisms at her local cult church... A presidential bid by that dolt would still be laughable!

I agree with you. Yeah for Palin. Finally we may have a chance at a voice who stands for our principles and values! At this point she may be our one strong voice. I will watch only the networks that give Palin fair coverage!

I would just like to say that I am really tired of the negative coverage cbs gives Palin. I am just a regular person although I am college educated and there are vase numbers of people who believe in Palin as she stands for the views and principles we stand for. I have all but stopped watching your news coverage due to the bias you have for anyone who is conservative. I am not alone in believing Palin's fight is not over. People hear her and her announcement of stepping down from governer is the most positive thing I have heard in the news in months. If you do not want to lose millions of viewers you will cover her next agenda in a positive way. The bias in the mainstream media today is pushing people to watch Fox news only as this is the only network that is truely fair and balanced.

The only reason people attack her is because people like you support her. She is stupid, immature, crooked---and a little crazy. We are afraid of her. Stop supporting someone who is so awful and we will back off. We need to speak up against her---just like more people should have spoken up against Hitler. Down with Palin!

Just curious... can you name one single fact to back all this raving up? Can you name ONE person you know who you have factual evidence honestly has publicly suppoted any of this? Or did that just come up in your alphabet soup one morning? It's like when Republicans say Obama is going door to door to get their guns. I ask specifically where and when? Show me a news report. Surely somebody would have caught it on YouTube or SOMETHING. But there's never any actual fact, just noise and accusation. But frankly, I suppose people who ask for facts from these nuts miss the point. They don't need facts. Facts are some kind of invention of the liberal media.

It's useless I suppose, but you should read Eric Hoffer's The True Believer. He was neither a libeal nor a onservative, just very smart. And he pegged this mentality decades ago.

I thought I'd mention in passing how truly sad it is that the level of "discourse" in "discussion" areas like this has fallen to such third grade lows. You ultra liberals and ultra conservatives sound like kids on the playground, raving and screaming insults, most of which are completely nonsensical. We started out discusing the abrupt resignation of Gov. Palin, but by the time I get to the bottom of this list I have no idea what we're talking about, except how much the extremes of the left and the right truly despise each other in this country. It's really pathtic people. Grow up.

Well, blame whoever it was that foisted this fragile person onto the McCain ticket, without properly vetting her background. Who takes 4 or 5 colleges to get one puny journalism degree? Someone with a poor sense of direction. Her resignation speech (not a press conference, after all) looked like something out of a tryout session for a high school speech team.
