Doing what's right for America??? Really like closing down Chrysler and GM dealerships, like packing the board of directors with his boys, like giving billions to Goldman Sacks so they can pay millions in bonuses, like shoving national health care down our throats so he can have more power, like cutting way back on missile defense just as North Korea starts to launch more misses.

Please Obama is doing what good for Obama and heck with the rest of you.

What we have here is the Affirmative Action President in way over his head.

Stop Obama don't buy GM

-----------------------------

You must really hate America badly I mean don't buy American. You are un-American and should move to Iran where you can keep the good fight moron.

So lets see our last president gave billions to Oil companies and Halliburton, he gave billions away in Iraq to for bribes. He started a war that is costing us trillions of dollars thrown away and bankrupted our country. You guys are easy to attack, but if he didnt do those things you would be attackin him for not too.. The record speaks for itself the last adiministr robbed our econmey to ensure the wealthy control the country.
by speakinup22 June 23, 2009 8:27 PM EDT
oh diver6911, I'm SO glad you brought up how our last President gave so much to the oil companies.

Let's see, when Bush was in office it was $4 a gallon and the cost of oil was $140 a barrel. Hmmmm, NOW gas is at $3 a gallon, and oil is at $70 a barrel.

Is Barry making HIS friends in the oil business rich ? Or, is this still Dubya's doings ? I mean that's what Barry is trying to say about the economy, right ?

You left wing socialistic twits have a small problem with credibility.

As an Independent political observer and participant, I do not agree with Obama and his bullying methods, however, he is doing the right thing concerning Iran. This is a case of the less said the better. Let the ignorant Thugocracy implode, and then offer the requisite support.

I don't think the "Thugocracy" will ever implode. When one crazed minded cleric steps down, there is always another one to take his place. They will just start killing the protestors and their families until everyone is afraid to protest. Why do you think Mousavi hasn't been seen? I would bet 99.9% of my paycheck the president had a price on his head the day after the election.
by rafterman1 June 23, 2009 8:21 AM EDT
No they won't. Soon they will give up and become the good little preprogrammed rats they were trained to be. It will only take the murder of a few more protestors and the insistence of the ruling mullahs to convince them to behave.

Unfortunately, you are right. There are still enough supporters of Ahmadinejad that the protests are muted. Its not like the days of the Shah, where everybody hated him.

Yep. This is what you have when you have a government of religion - like what the republicans and neocons want.

Call to battle!

It is the protesters that have thought Iran?s ruling tugs a lesson.

The people of Iran will fight for their freedom!

While the Democrats and Socialists merely want control of your property. So if people have no soul, which is the more practical form of facism?
by speakinup22 June 23, 2009 8:20 PM EDT
oh please cs.... You are such a troll.

We just want the left to recognize that religion should not MAKE the government. That is a far shot from banning religion as your ilk would have it.

Grow a brain.
by Missyriver June 23, 2009 8:05 AM EDT
What are they going to do?, put all the protestors in jail! I believe with these threats there will be a full civil war in that country.

Hey Obama, way to help out here... Nice work.

How did you determine that it is up to the POTUSA or even the USA to solve Iran's internal problem(s)? Obviously you are a "maverick" and think the USA needs to be involved in another war and country/democracy building. We DON'T!

Put down McCain's book "Diplomacy for Idiots" and try a little independent thinking.

uh - don't look now docpeter - but Obama has decided to follow Senator McCain's advice.

Why is it the left that is always the last to see the light ?

Sounds like Kent State and Chicago of '68. I never participated in a demonstration (worried about loss of future opportunities) but those who did earned my deepest respect. It seems that we are just about 40 years ahead of Iran. We are not "Holier than thou Ayatollah."

You guys are crazy, HAven't we learnt enough from the last 8 years of sending our money to fight wars that don't concern us. We have just bankrupted our country to fight a war for the rich. Now you guys want to do it again, and besides is your butt going over there because our armed forces are stretched right now due to over abuse. We can't change the world or cultures that have been around 1000's of years. You know it is east to complain about the economy and our countries problems but it took the last 6 yrs to destroy it, nobody can fix it in months.
by speakinup22 June 23, 2009 8:16 PM EDT
I don't remember the President saying the blood was on the demonstrator's hands before Kent state or '68.

Where as the ayatollah has gone as far as to say he was going to teach demonstrators a lesson. He has gone as far as to get doctors to report them if they come into a hospital - when they were beaten up for peacefully demonstrating.

No - this is not Kent State OR Chicago in '68.

This is the prelude to a rightful coup.

He hasn't appointed you Gruppenführer of the mensroom in Ayatollah Park. That seems an oversight for a man of your abilities.

No, but it got 10 Iranians.

And how, precisely, would the US "help out", without turning all Iranians against it?
by speakinup22 June 23, 2009 4:21 PM EDT
So, liberals... When does Obama's plan start to kick in ?

It looks like the younger crowd of Iran are trying to change the sheria law set in power. Meanwhile we have Obama is reacting by serving ice cream to his kids, and going to Broadway plays.

Yup - there is no such thing as a bad government, as long as you are at the top.
by zonkzilla June 23, 2009 7:16 AM EDT
The demonstrators need to introduce the dictator and revolutionary guards to IED's.
"Say hello to my little friend".
