- 17 is prime,
16 has factors of 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16.

This is why you were never invited to any mosh pits when you were in high school. - Reply to this comment
- Right...pull them out (away from the body) and shake them, not take them off.

And the difference is.....?
If she was forced to pull her underwear out and shake it, then everything that was under the underwear was exposed.
If a woman on the beach is wearing a bikini, and she pulls her bikini out and shakes it - she's getting arrested for public nudity.
This is just a silly technicality. She was fully exposed, and that's totally inappropriate. - Reply to this comment
- What school teacher, nurse, principal in their right mind would ever, ever think of and actually stip search a student!!!! ****!!! What were they thinking?

What do you expect. Public schools are liberal controlled criminal factories.
Doesn't it just make sense that the people who work there are liberal creeps like they want the kids to be???
It's just typical of the liberal mindset to follow an extremist idea to the absurd extreme of stripping naked a 13 year old honor student just because some student CLAIMED that she was hiding aspirin in her panties. - Reply to this comment
- THIS IS HOW THE CATHOLIC PRIESTS GOT STARTED A LITTLE STRIP HERE

Ooooh. So THAT'S what happened to you, psychocharly.
It just HAD to be some kind of childhood trauma. - Reply to this comment
- This was a 13 year old girl. Who in their right mind strip searchs a 13 year old for tylenol? This was not pot, or heroin, it was tylenol. Think of the embarassment for this child if she had been on her menstrual cycle. I am behind this girl and the ACLU on this one, 100%.

- Next thing you know they'll start expelling girls for sharing Midol. Strip searching is completely uncalled for...

I don't care how much they pay me, I will NOT strip search a teenage girl while she's taking Midol. - Reply to this comment
- KNOCK KNOCK PEOPLE!!! What school teacher, nurse, principal in their right mind would ever, ever think of and actually stip search a student!!!! ****!!! What were they thinking? Is anyone of their jobs and livelyhoods worth this?? At some point, adult common sense should kick in. The only words that come to my mind for describing the dispicable culprits in this case are egomaniac and control freak. Please remember... NO ADULT, OTHER THAN A JAILER, SHOULD EVER EVER STRIP SEARCH A KID!! Otherwise you will ruin what life you may have. The school needs to pay on this one. I do agree with the ACLU on this one.

- Can you believe it!! For once I (a conservative white Christian male) am in total agreement with the ACLU!
I personally think not allowing kids to have a very limited amount (as in one day's supply)of over-the-counter pain reliever is stupid anyway. Secondly, I am redneck enough to question the motives of school officials that strip-search a 13 year-old girl over ibuprofen. I wonder if the school officials took any pictures or if it was just a private show?
If there were questions of illegal drug use then they needed a female law enforcement person and the girl's parent (preferably her mother) present. I personally think the school system owes her a public apology and should have to pay for the private-school education of her parents choice! - Reply to this comment
- Ibuprofen is one of those "gateway" drugs. Before you know it, they move on to harder stuff like "restless leg" drugs or "stool softeners". And then there are those who start mainlining the whole family of "erectile dysfunction" junk, just so they can get up in the morning. Pretty soon, they're sitting next to Amy Winehouse at the Crossroads rehab, wondering just what went wrong in Grade 8.

- Yes, because ibuprofen is such a problem these days... Or even 6 years ago. Why don't they stress more about the ILLEGAL drugs and violence happening rather than a few over-the-counter pills to help with headaches. Next thing you know they'll start expelling girls for sharing Midol. Strip searching is completely uncalled for...

- Is ibuprofen illegal? It's a non-addictive, non-prescription painkiller sold in drugstores, supermarkets and convenience stores to people of any age. Advil IS ibuprofen. Even if a student is caught with or suspected of having something illegal -- should law enforcement be called first to investigate? Or if it's simply against school policy, shouldn't parents be called rather than forcing a girl to get naked in front of accusers based on an unproven accusation? This all sounds pretty Nazi Germany to me.

- Am I missing something here? Isn't ibuprofen a type of aspirin? You can get high on ibuprofen?

It all begins with ibuprofen then before you know it you're addicted to crack. It turns out they were just trying to help her. You know, like the police do with pot smokers everyday. - Reply to this comment

It helped growing up on the beach and hanging out with surf punks. Shoot, when I was 17 we were literal beach bums during the three months thatsummer. Sleeping on the beach, in stairwells, under structures in miniature golf courses. We stole cigs and tapes almost daily to sell so we could buy cases of nasty bo and an occasional meal. It was one long party, no worries, no responsibility, just going from one day till the next crashing where ever. - Reply to this comment

This was a 13 year old girl. They had no right to strip search her at all. Especially without contacting the parents first. If that was my child, they would all be wishing they were dead right now. - Reply to this comment
