Shades of Paul Potts, another BGT performer that got odd looks from the judges before he first performed.

I must live under a rock, cuz I didn't know anything about Susan Boyle until I saw the headlines a few minutes ago, and dang it, no streaming allowed by the company firewall! Gotta wait until I get home.

Susan's voice made me cry; just listening to her, reaffirmed my belief that there is a God. It is about time all people everywhere start appreciating our great diversity in appearances. Susan is simply beautiful!

Just when I'd given up being a good single father and the world was falling apart, along came Susan. She gave me new hope and I wonder how many people who heard that magnificent voice feel better about themselves? Move aside Beattles!

I think Susan was unbelievable. Everyone was so hurtful in their expresions upon seeing Susan, how sad, Susan is awesome!!!!!!! She is already a star. A music company should sign her up right now. I would buy her cd today. I love her voice and passion for singing. She is one great talent.

She doesn't have a trained voice. But she has the vocal gift. Training just brings it out.

lmaep,
I believe you are wrong. I felt CBS simply loved it so much they wanted bragging rights to her first American performance. She was fantastic even without the background music. I felt the interviewers sincerely loved her as much as everyone else.
