To jbear460, You weren''t forced to have a child out of wedlock. You chose to do it. The government red tape and economy didn''t force you not to marry, you chose to not marry. You can''t blame others for your decisions. Some decisions are choices that make life harder. That is the choice. You want it both ways. You want to live a lifestyle that gives you certain benefits without paying the price for it. If you choose to have a child, get married. If you don''t get it, at least think of someone other than yourself and think of the child growing up without a married parent. If it costs you money to get married because you''d lose some government benefit, then choose which is more important, the money or the child. You are exactly the kind of self-appointed victim that this is all about. You make choices and then whine that you can''t have life on your terms. Last time I checked there was nothing in life (no religious writing, no government guarantee, nothing anywhere) that says life will be easy or fair. Life is hard. You make choices and sometimes you have to choose a hard choice because it''s better. No wonder this society is going down the tubes!

Ann is correct. I think that some liberals (those with some conscience left) are beginning to get it. That''s why we will see some discomfort on the part of some of them.

The screaming child leftwing in this country do not like it when conservatives like Coulter use the same tactics.

Ann Coulter has some serious mental issues she needs to work on.

I don''t know why they keep giving her a forum to spew her hatred.

i can stand coulter for about as long as it takes me to find the remote. even with that minimal exposure, it occurs to me that if the average man on the street was prone to make the kind of comments she spouts regularly, i''d give odds that he would at the least, end up on the secret service''s watch list.

Ann Coluter calls it like it is. Horray for Anne. In regards to jbear460, Ann is obviously not referring to your case in the vein as the "classic" case of single motherhood, which means there was no marriage to begin with. Please.

You can take no issue with the facts of what she is saying, because they are facts. Don''t shoot the messanger.

Ann Coulter is irrelevant. She''s a legend in her own mind!

The main reason I don''t watch the Early Show anymore is because of Harry Smith. He can''t hide his disdain for conservatives. So much for objective journalism. In the above article about the Coulter interview, she is referred to as a "conservative firebrand" and in the very next paragraph says "she points fingers at what she calls the liberal media". Well if calling her a conservative firebrand isn''t a liberal slant on the news, what is. How about calling her an author? Agree with Coulter''s views or not, Smith finally met his match in someone who wouldn''t let him hide his liberal agenda. Imagine if this guy takes over the CBS Evening News. At least pretend like your objective.

Now here is proof that you can let someone make a fool of them selves, by just letting them go on and on and on, Harry did exactly that! There are people in this world that think they can win an argument by just not letting anyone else speak thier opinion. Ann Coulter is one of them. Good Job Harry! As the old saying goes, " they hung them selves with thier own rope".

Harry Smith was very unproffessional this morning in his interview with Coulter. Where was his "thank you" at the end of his interview to Coulter for coming on the show? His attitude was simply RUDE. I knew CBS was news was liberal/Democratic/Socialist, but have respect for others'' opinions. You just lost my viewing.

Dear ALL Media----STOP giving this idiot any forum on ANY news or media program. She is not a cure, but part of the problem.

Shame on you Harry.

I am a military widow, who has moved on with her life and that includes having a child out of wedlock...because of this economy and governmental red tape I cannot remarry... I feel like Ann needs to investigate some of the situations of people before she shoots off her mouth and calls peoples children illagitamate!!! my daughter is anything but,... and I can''t stand the labels that Ann is shooting out of her mouth it is complete garbage.

Ann Coulter is obviously in a great deal of pain. I generally don''t find hostile behavior funny. It is difficult to take someone seriously when they appear to have such little control of themselves.
