Why SHOULD they donate? It''s a great thing if they do, but they shouldn''t feel obligated to do so. If they want to buy Coach, let them. WHO CARES. - Reply to this comment

There you go again with your battle cry. Not all rich people work on Wall Street.
Open up that pea sized brain of yours and think outside of the box every now and then. It''ll do you some good. You are so focused on Wall Street, you see all rich people ringing the bell. That would be like saying all black people are gangsters...or all white people can''t dance.
Am I opposed to all these bailouts? Absolutely. Both Wall Street and the GM''s. - Reply to this comment
- Hey mjm, so you know some wealthy people, do ya? If they are on Wall Street, their stock in financial companies should be worthless right now, and their wealthy parasite bosses should be in jail.
Except that OUR GOVERNMENT has GIVEN THEM 7.7 TRILLION DOLLARS OF OUR MONEY! Money that WE DO NOT HAVE, you idiot!
You. Personally. Now owe the Federal Government 24,000$ to pay off the money that our Government has GIVEN TO WALL STREET.
This is 1.5 times the TOTAL US DEBT THAT HAS BEEN ACQUIRED SINCE 1776.
In one month, our government has put us in debt that is 2.5 times deeper than all the debt the USA has accumulated SINCE THE COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED.
TO GIVE TO WALL STREET! - Reply to this comment
- Hey eggy, your little rant:
"Who works harder? The financial analyst who pores over actuarial tables 16 hours per day, or the UAW job banker who gets paid to sit on the can and do crossword puzzles?"
Shows that you don''t understand how many orders of magnitude separate the money given by our Government to Wall Street, versus loaned to the auto workers.
The loan given to the auto companies is less than 1/3 of one percent of the money ALREADY DESIGNATED AND PROVIDED TO WALL STREET, you moron.
Got that? You will pay 24,000 $ to Wall Street. That is ALREADY DONE! You will pay 53 $ to the car manufacturers.
Got that? Our government has handed Wall Street, whose parasites created this mess, 24 THOUSAND DOLLARS OF YOUR TAX MONEY (which the Fed DOES NOT HAVE). To appease the clamoring masses, the Fed RELUCTANTLY gave 53 dollars to the auto companies.
How stupid do you have to be to see when you are being utterly fleeced? - Reply to this comment

- The topic is valid enough though...There is a certain amount of uneasiness and worry each time you buy something in this economic climate, even if you are still doing ok.
So? Who cares what rich people buy? They should-Being a conspicious comsumer of high end non-essentials when so many are in dire straights is wrong. So, your battle cry is all rich people are taking handouts and robbing the rest of the country? You hide behind numbers and stats you pull from the internet to make you look smart...but if you had any brain in the cranium of yours you wouldn''t associate that way. - Reply to this comment

You angry little f*ckwad. Get your panties out of a bunch and deal with the fact that they are rich. They are not all Madoffs...
I happen to know a couple very well off people who have worked their a*s off to be where they are now. They deserve every penny they have.
Stop being such a little b*tch. - Reply to this comment
- Hey "duhwall", they ARE NOT spending THEIR MONEY, you braindead sheep (or Wall Street employee). They are spending the 7.7 TRILLION DOLLARS that our Federal Gov gave to them, which is OUR MONEY, moron.
In addition, they GOT "their money" by running a scam for the last 7 years....which is illegal for you and I.
You and I have now been told that we each, and each of our children, owe our Government 24,000$ each, for a total of 7.7 TRILLION DOLLARS given to Wall Street by our Government. http://tinyurl.com/96a7s4

- Greed and arrogance are permanent conditions, so I''''m thinking that the same people who created this worldwide financial hardship, and the same Wall Street parasites who got their buddies in the White House to give them (according to Bloomberg Financials) 7.7 TRILLION DOLLARS, will continue to steal as much, as quickly as they can, in order to support their need for a 5th or 6th home, while our elderly are forced into the street by the laws that Wall Street lobbyists have put on the books.

- Hey mjm, you little ***. These parasites didn''t work any harder than anyone else who is employed in the USA. What they *DID* do was rewrite the laws of our country so as to:
1. Avoid all prosecution for the biggest scam in history.
2. Keep their fraudulently obtained money.
3. Pass on the costs of their ponzi scheme to every taxpayer in the country.
4. Use OUR MONEY to buy out healthy local banks so that they can put local assets on the books of Wall Street banks....and lay off as many local people as possible in order to maintain the obscene paychecks of a few arrogant, greedy, and immoral parasites sitting on Wall Street. - Reply to this comment
- Our government has been bought by these Wall Street parasites over the last 10 years. Do you know why Bernard Madoff is still smiling in all the recent photos? Because he knows that his lawyers will keep him out of jail for 4 years while they try and appeal this case continuously, and they know that Wall Street lobbyists has laws put on the Federal books that limit the maximum penalty for this massive fraud to 7 years....which ends up being less than 3 years. In a Club Fed, no fences, no bars, TV and Internet provided "jail".
We the people have been sold out to a few wealthy parasites on Wall Street, and our government has zero plans to prosecute anyone for the last 5 years of fraud.
Remember that when our economy completely disintegrates in 2009. The people who did this are sitting in their multimillion dollar mansions, without a care in the world.
Remember that when you pay your taxes, because you are now responsible for 24,000$ to give to our Federal government, so they can give it people on Wall Street. The people whose greed and fraud created this economic crisis.
Remember that. Your children each owe the Federal Gov 24,000$ each, to be paid in taxes in order to pay off WALL STREET.

- So justaguy...because these people are rich, they are scum, theives, arrogant and greedy? Wow...
Some of these people worked hard for their money. Yes, I know...not all of them. But who cares. Capitalism allows for people to be rich. It allows for generations of families to remain rich. Not all of them are evil. Why do you care if they have 5 houses? It''s the American dream, no?
Now quit your whinning cry baby.
And no...by no means am I rich. - Reply to this comment
