Nothing will change as long as the majority of the electorate receive a hand out and that covers a huge spectrum. We have the low income entitlement groups and the high income entitlement groups with those of us in the middle carrying the load. Blame lies with both of the major parties but oddly the Republicans have faced the ire of the electorate more so than the Democrats. I ponder why when so much more of the damage is linked to the Democrat party. Then I realized the importance of the entitlement groups in the voting booth. Dems have historically been quick to establish dependency on the federal trough which builds voting allegiances to the provider.
It is time for the those in the middle to wake up and smell the coffee. We carry the burden and not complain which has gotten us where? Time for us to exclaim "we''ve had enough and we are not going to take it anymore".

Hard Times, But Big Wall Street Bonuses

Hard times, but big political contributions continue to members of congress. Companies understand that you cannot have your most effective employees go somewhere else.

Why is it that these cats at the high end of the food chain need big bonuses with our economy in the shark tank? I guess the fat cat democrats have been receiving big donations from these fat cat bankers and don''t want the gravy train to miss their station stop. These are people that cause our economic problems, along with all the economics and finance experts in congress and the media, why the reward? They ought to be taken to the town square and pilloried and whipped, every last one of them. The people abetting this situation, Senators, Representatives, Media bigwigs in the tank and foreign interests should get the same treatment. Posting them out of town would be a good idea too. ROBBER BARONS, can you say that? I hope you can.

And all executive managers should be forced to wear dunce caps and "I''''m with Stupid" t-shirts and paraded down Wall Street so US taxpayers can mock and ridicule them.

Top Talent? Bonuses while being bailed out?

Clearly this is the new Yale-level (and all the other graduate) education that says that one gets rewarded whether one fails or not. These same people have never learned cosnequences for bad choices. Even more importantly bad choices impacting/harming others.

In the real world this would be called fraud, theft and real people would be imprisioned and have their financial goods and property taken away.

These are our social elite that we allow to get slapped on the hand with a rolled up newspaper and a "bad dog, dont do it again until the next time prosperity occurs, but in the mean time we will keep in in the style you have become accustomed so you dont have to pay the price the peons and lower level slaves have to pay."

Do we deserve any less for tolerating that this is coninuing to go on and the bail outs are going to the fat cats and not the victims who have been harmed by them?

This is just getting ''MORE LUDICROUS'' by the day!! Where are the Federal Reserve, The SEC & the FTC in this scenario?? Is this a case of ''THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND''??

Or is something much more ''SINISTER'' at hand?? We can''t just ''WRITE-OFF'' 4/5 TRILLION $$$, without an in-depth explanation to the Public Taxpayer!!

If we don''t clear-up this mess & harshly deal with the ''SCOUNDRELS'' behind it very quickly....There may well be a ''TAXPAYER REVOLT'' in our Nation, like you have NEVER seen!!

Let me see if I understand this scenario correctly.....We (Taxpayers) are paying ''FAT BONUSES'' using Tax-Payer money to under achieving & under performing or perhaps ''CORRUPT'' CEO''s & Executives, who have virtually ''BANKRUPT'' their industries???

Do I have this right, or am I missing something here? Shouldn''t these people & companies be subject to ''AUDITS & INVESTIGATIONS'' to see if they have broken the ''LAWS OF THE LAND''?? If they have, then they should all be facing ''FEDERAL RACKETEERING'' charges & substantial Prison time!!
