I am mad at Edwards for many reasons. He put the Democratic Party in jeopardy--what if he had been the nominee and then this came out?! He lied by portraying himself as a faithful family man. He paid his girlfriend $100,000 from campaign money for producing four short videos-thank goodness I never gave him any money or I''''d be even madder. Big props to Alan Colmes for pointing out the similarities between John Edwards'' infidelity and John McCain''s and asking why Edwards is unfit for public office as a result but McCain is not. After soundly denouncing Edwards as unworthy of the presidency because he broke his marriage vows to an ailing wife, none of the conservatives could come up with a decent explanation about why McCain%u2019s similar behavior was any less despicable. Sean Hannity was so flustered that he repeatedly tried to interrupt Colmes and carried the argument over to the next segment. More props to Colmes for refusing to back down. With video.

In an unbalanced panel, the three conservatives (two guests plus Hannity) worked themselves into a self-righteous lather of sanctimony against John Edwards that included attacks on the so-called liberal media for not going after him harder. It was obvious they were completely unprepared for Colmes'' very apt comparison of Edwards to McCain.

HELLO...bottom line here people is that cheating has nothing to do with political parties or politicians. Its a human trait and I might add not a good one. However, we know from case studies that more than 70% of couples have one or both persons who have had an extramarital affair. Nothing new under the sun since time in memoriam. Its only now that we have "*** and scandals" sells newspapers and drives TV ratings that the media has turned into the Jerry Springer Show. Why? Because the majority of Americans eat it up. The sad part of this story is that hundreds of American''s (men and women) have extra marital affairs on their spouses each year, including former President Clinton. It has become such a normal part of life that most Americans have come to accept its happenings. I hope that people can remember that it takes 2 people to have an affair.
