Do NOT speak to the guards.
Keep in orderly lines.
Have your papers ready.
Look at your shoes wen being questioned.

Have a nice day, and welcome to America

Go back to the hospital and wait until dark and suprise them one at a time and then shoot them in the nuts with a taser and then beat the sh-t out of them with a baseball bat.

In regards to "hospital security guards" Tazering a visitor.
I am of the opinion that law enforcement SHOULD NOT be allowed to carry or use "tazers." This weapon is being used in excess, and as an "I can hurt you, and you can not do anything about it! Police are not the "good guys" we want to see them as. A good number of the "new generation" of law enforcement personal are young bullies.
The tazer is a fine defensive weapon for a private citizen but should NOT be allowed in the hand of security guards or police.
BTW, I am a 58 year old man, that was a deputy sheriff when I returned from Viet Nam. I quit that job because I would NOT lie!

Little Brownshirt Nazis believe they have Authority over EVERYONE else, and are free to beat, taser or murder whoever they like. These Scumbags are going to meet someone besides a defensless Old man and his kids one day and they''ll get what''s coming to them.
I hope the day is soon.

if a security guard cannot take a small verbal insult..then he/she has not business being a security guard.

I 100% agree that this tasing incident should be investigated. I also believe that once everyone has the opportunity to hear all the facts that many people will side with the security and hospital officials. If the hospital is backing up their security, I''m sure they know more facts than we do at this and I''m sure they know they will win this case in court without a doubt.

[Since you have apparent superior intellegence about the role law enforcement plays and what "risks" officers in the middle of American cities should anticipate and expect, including their own deaths]
[Posted by monkfellow at 01:34 PM : Jul 25, 2008]

anyone who becomes a law enforcement officer and doesnt'' realize they''re increasing their odds of being on the receiving end of a problematic situation that could bring them harm shouldn''t have qualified for the position in the first place ... they''re fools!

there is no superior knowledge neccessary to know the role of a law enforcement officer ... and i don''t need to wear the uniform to have their perspective ... i have two family members who are/have been in law enforcement.

this device is being abused ... and will continue to be abused until someone curtails it''s use ... and/or defines strict guidliines in it''s use. use outside of these guidlines ... like any use of a weapon by anyone for any reason ... should be subject to evaluation for determination of it''s abuse.

sorry you don''t like it ... you''ll change your tune when you, or someone you know, end up on the wrong end of one of these devices in the hand of an ''taser abuser''.

defending inappropriate behavior on the part of these ''abusing'' individuals only perpetuates the lack of respect people have for authority ... which is likely to lead to more cases of these incidents ... and potentially more people getting hurt ... officer or otherwise.

This sounds like a great idea, I''m goin to go up to someone who is working and armed with a taser now and try to crack a joke and then attack them when they tell me to go away. Then if they tase me I can sue them because thats the beauty of abusing the American Justice system. If all else fails I will just claim to be a very religious person who isn''t worried about the money but saving the souls of the people who tased me. That way I can sway enough jurors to get my way and my money. Thanks Rev. Al for showin all us rednecks the way to get-rich-quick! You''re my hero.

Unless there is more to this story, it looks like the guards overreacted in the extreme, and Rev Poisson should win his case. According to the WTOL TV web site, witnesses in the waiting room who saw what happened, said the Revered was NOT abusive in any way. He is a pastor who visits patients in the hospital, part of his job is to cheer them up, apparently when he tried the same tactic on the grumpy guard, it backfired!

If they sue the hospital, I hope it fails financially. There are so many problems facing hospitals these days that I don''t see how we even have any stay open anymore. It''s a win-win situation--no one gets insulted or hurt, and people don''t have to go to the hospital.

Guard is drunk with power. If you need to use taser on old guy like that to get control then you ought to find a new job. Simple disgusting.

Wow!...the folks in here like "monkfellow" who are talking up the cause of law enforcement personnel need to reread this whole article.......these hospital security guards are not law enforcement....they are policy enforcement....this one redneck security guard having a bad day got pissed off when this old visitor was mouthy to him.....instead of being customer friendly he took the old guy outside with his stupid buddies and beat and tasered the guy.....let me tell you the hospital will pay off for this one.....if the security guard still has a job there I will be surprised.....

The truth should be apparent if there is video...but it''s amazing how that can end up ''missing'' or ''not clear'' or ''inconclusive'' when it''s law enforcement protecting their own. I''m sure a elderly volunteer and member of the church was just itching for a good take down that day...give me a break. Guard with a chip on his shoulder and a grudge against the world is more like it.

For all of you that are making assumptions about tasers, maybe you should read the facts... http://www.taser.com/Pages/default.aspx

I agree. The best source for unbiased information on tasers would be the company that makes and markets them. Also, obviously, self proclaimed "patriots" never lie. Just because this one is the 4321st doesn''t mean he/she is as credible as the number 1 patriot. No offense to my transgender friends with the use of the term "he/she".
