They have lied to all of us.

gw bush has lied so much and has so much protection being paid for by the american tax payer it is a sin. The families will never learn the truth as bush would not be able to tell the truth, EVEN IF HE HAD TO ON THE WATER BOARD IN CUBA, about any thing from his desertion in 1972 to the lying about WMD and Nuclear Bombs, and what have you to the starting of this war with lies and now the americans who sent their children of in valor seeking medasls of honor as fodder for his cannons for a deceitful idiot like bush and expect the truth tell them, to hang it up, I have known this little squint eyed liar since about 1970 and have never known him to tell the truth, my heart goes out to those who did not vote for bush but for those who voted him into office I say you got what you wanted.
from the now adopted HOME STATE OF THE IODIOT.

Really? I beg to differ. I think I and a whole lot more American''s would find it quite satisfying to have a court of law convict George W. Bush for Treason... Cheney with him. I KNOW it would make the Tillman family feel better as well. Sieg Heil Bush

You are right, the job of President is a tough one EXPECIALLY if you do it the way say a Franklin Roosevelt handled it. What this piece of human trash, YOU call a President did was NOT acceptable though. He INTENTIONALLY and with the WILL of THOUGHT LIED to the people of this nation, took troops away from the fight against those who attacked us and Attacked another nation for OIL!! I don''t know anything lower than that. NO American should die in Combat UNLESS it''s NECESSARY and OIL or any of the other LIES we''ve been told about it does NOT meet that test. By the way, a YEAR and 26 DAYS in the jungle of Vietnam provides me the right to comment as well. Sieg Heil Bush

skulldigger7....Who said there was something wrong with the military? Fact is that our military has done a fantastic job under the circumstances. You just can''t resist that "liberal democrat" BS that you guys constantly rely on cause you don''t have anything else. We have the finest military on the face of the planet and we are all, (us liberals) very proud of them. It has only been recently that the military has started to accept people with criminal pasts or in other words started to accept what once would have been sub standard members. Had we continued to spend on the military at the rate that Reagan was we would have bankrupted the country. Bush the first was the one who started the military spending cutbacks. Clinton just continued those policies. Try to get your facts straight before you start to run your mouth. And please remember that the republicans have not cornored the market on cohones. Some of us libs have a pretty good sized pair too.

bashing presidents and ect will do no one any good, there will always be wars and deficate ect. and in the last umpteen yrs. it matters not who is in office as a nation we do nothing but complain the job as president is a touch one mainly since he will always be wrong to all of us, we all think we know better no matter rep. or dem or libr. so why complain. our military is made up of proud strong americans and yes follow directons, and comes from a past solider. if you have never served you will not understand only voice ignorance, we think that just because a loved one serves we know all wrong. its a different world once you sign. as a nation we should try for that world peace we all state in our own ways right or wrong. the only time there will be world peace is none . only place to find that is heaven.and im pretty sure God wont allow bickering and all there.

Why is it so difficult to accept that the military is a reflection of our society, for good or for ill? The corporate suck-ups of Enron, the mortgage traders and the liars are all represented in the military. Equally represented are the heroes of Flight 93, doctors who give their lives to the poor, teachers and volunteers of all kinds.

We''d better take a look at who has voted against a decent GI Bill, against 15-month stateside deployments after 15-month tours, and against full funding for our soldiers'' health care. Take a look at who wants to dismantle the VA and turn vets'' care over to "the market".

Don''''t complain - this is what happens when you put a draft-dodger like Clinton in charge. Feh.

Posted by skulldigger7 at 02:32 PM : May 05, 2008

Yes, and it was a heckuva lot better than what has happened with draft-dodger Bush and draft dodger Cheney being in charge.

Mr. Pot, let me introduce you to Mr. Kettle...

The American military is neither good nor bad. When these men and women sign that dotted line, they agree to do the bidding of the president (who''s supposed to be following the rules of the constitution and the American people).

I look on it much like k9 cop units (which I admire greatly). When a handler sics his dog on innocent people, who''s to blame? The dog? or the handler?

The American people is spending billions and billions of dollars in training and equipment to have a military defend the US. Young men and women sign up and agree to give their lives if needed to keep us safe and free. So why are we electing such poor, irresponsible handlers? and why are we continuing to let these handlers stay in control?

"obliterate iran hillary" and "100 years in Iraq McCain" supporters take note! Our military is a good asset, but it''s only as good as the handlers.

My goodness. You liberal democrat-types are wondering what is wrong with the military? How soon we forgot what the Clinton gang did for eight years, dragging the military down to their PC-nazi standards, reducing training levels, forcing acceptance of sub-standard members, encouraging very non-aggressive leaders until we had cretins like General Tony McPeak ripping apart the Air Force until he was forced out, etc, etc. The officers in charge today are those that were raised and promoted by the Clinton team. Don''t complain - this is what happens when you put a draft-dodger like Clinton in charge. Feh.

demslie....I have read many of your posts in the past and have held back from comment because I know you cannot have a reasonable conversation. But this one has to be addressed. How dare you say that all democrats hate military people? I am a democrat and I served in the military with pride and honor, (probably more than can be said by you) and I have the highest respect for anyone who wears the uniform. In my eyes Pat Tillman is a hero, whether he died by enemy fire or by friendly fire. The fact that the administration tried to use him to pump up support for their war turns my stomach. When you say "what democrat would give up millions to serve his country" you had better take a look at your sniveling cowardly "heros" like Cheney, Limbaugh, Hannity and Rumsfeld. Not one of them had the cohones to put on the uniform. Cheney..5 deferments.."had better things to do"...Limbaugh..had a boil on his butt...in SO much pain....just two examples. As for your fearless leader bush...have daddy get you to the top of the list for the ANG..do just enough to fly under the radar...then disappear. Are you just someone who craves attention by putting up these ridiculous posts or are you a total moron? One other question. Do you talk to people in person the way you talk on line? If you do you must be one tough customer cause if I did it I''d get my arse kicked every day.

One has to wonder how many other deaths the military has lied about. Why are they lying is another problem?

This war has been nothing but one lie after another. I just cannot see how so many people still back Bush.

Fact: A lie is told for a reason and the incident is no reason to lie, for what. So, if they told these mothers a lie that was basically too easy and simply for them to notify the families, this means that it is much more to this. Maybe they where somewhere they where not suppose to be. Never the less she loss her son and the military did not, have not and probable will not reveal the truth. There is more than what is nearly revealed and the sad part is that they feel like they gave her an answer and that is that. If it was simply an accident seem they would have revealed this at that time, becauseno criminal charges would not have been filed because it was accident. It is so crazy how the military covers ther own. I for one knows this, my brother was shot and killed by a guy in the military and they wisked him off in hiding real quit, and he was never charged with my brothers murder and although we''ve tried to find out where this guy was stations, we''ve had no luck and no help fromt he military. This man short my brother in cold blood because of a women that my brother was dating and she was cheating with this man. Killed my brother in his own apartment complex coming home one night, and he left his body out there until a neighbor came out to go to work at 4am.
Peggy''s lost is a tragedy and I wish her the best and that somehow the truth will be revealed to her. I can''t image what these last four year have been like, not knowing.
God Bless Peggy & Family

The Pat Tillman - Jessica Lynch, and now the Jesse Buryj tragedies show one thing.

To the neocons, truth doesn''t matter, public perception does.

In other words, it''s all about conning the public.

We can add 935 lies to start a war of greed.

I agree with Democrats. The US Miltary is horrible because they tried to make Pat Tillman a hero instead of a pawn for the Democrats evil political agenda. Democrats could not give a DAMNN about the life of Pat Tillman. Democrats think all military people are idiots who joined because they were to stupid to do any better. And Pat Tillman was the dumbest of them all. What Democrat alive would give up millions to serve his country?
