I could never work out how this polygamy thing was supposed to work biologically. Naturally in humans male births almost equal female births the ratios are almost 50 50. If some men have 2 or more e.g. up to 4 wives in some Muslim societies what are the other men who have to miss out and have no wife supposed to do. It would seem rather unnatural to me a very suspect practice. What possible use can it serve in a modern society? I also think it rather strange that this polygamy always seems to be about men having more than one wife. Why is it never religiously sanctioned for a woman to have more than one husband? Could this spoil the fun for the pious elders who propound this rubbish in the name of religion?
