Being Denied 30-Day Leave; Mom Says It's Daughter's Last Wish To Have Him With Her
- anyone who''s stating the father should have thought about the impact drugs would have on his family is clearly much smarter than I am since I have no idea what "Drug Conviction" means or entails? Was he smoking a doobie? Drug Dealer? Doubtful since that would have been reported. I''ve seen people put in county jail for a small sack of weed, their homes are taken while they''re inside, they lose their jobs, and then when they get out they are expected to work, pay their massive fines, maintain all the appts. they have to do with Corrections and if you don''t or you lose your job because of all the Corrections meetings and "therapy"? Too bad, back to jail you go. In fact our jails are overcrowded because of our super successful War on Drugs (like the equally successful War on Terror!!!!!). The little girl shouldn''t pay for are bull*** laws in this country, imagine you''re her father and how helpless you would feel. Try to at least put yourself in his shoes and the families before you start spouting off.

- Oh I know I am gonna pi$$ of a few here LOL. But this whole "for the children" insanity in the USA has gotten out of hand. Any time, for any reason (right or wrong", all you have to is mention "it''s for a child" and that''s the trump card. Doesn''t matter if somebody broke the law.
Her dad SHOULD have considered the impact of drugs on his daughter''s future. No they are NOT monsters for denying her request.
It just doesn''t stop with this low key story that shouldn''t even be news anyway. Here comes the fire lol.. Do you all know how many people are in jail because of "false accusations" from children? People being convicted on another''s "words" with no physical evidence. But because of the frenzy of a few high profile cases where yes some children did get hurt, laws were changed where a person can lose their job, family and life over accusations because somebody wanted a "disciplinarian father" out of the house, or a nasty divorce.
Let''s not forget the sweeping powers states have given "CPS" because of this "save the children" frenzy generated by public over-reaction to some high profile cases. Its sad when ANYONE gets hurt, not just "children". Stop the insanity LOL! - Reply to this comment
- [Letter I wrote to the governor]
Have you read the story of the young girl in your state, Jayci Yaeger, who is dying of brain cancer?
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/03/20/earlyshow/main3953431.shtml#Post
I am not an eloquent person, and I don''t live in your state; but I wanted to send you a letter just the same, because of how personally and emotionally affected I am by this story.
When I was 16, my younger sister who was 11 had, what we thought was pneumonia - 3 doctors had told us it was. It turned out to be leukemia, but by the time the 4th doctor figured it out she could not be saved.
My little sister did not deserve what had happened to her, and the loss is tragic today, 17 years later.
To read about this young girl dying, it affects me so personally, I have been crying all night thinking about it - me, a grown man. But you have to understand, how awful it is when an innocent child dies, to everyone around her, to everyone who sees those last weeks.
Her last request is to see her father, who is in minimum security for a few months, according to the story. The warden will not let him out to see his dying daughter, to fulfill her last wish. I can''t tell you how much compassion this lacks. Of all the messages Jesus gave us to learn, compassion was the greatest one he most often spoke of.
Is it not at all possible for you to give this man a week of leave, even, to fulfill her last wish - and afterward simply extend his sentence by that much more? - Reply to this comment
- [(The rest of the letter to the Governor) RE: Would you write the Governor, too?]
I pray with all my heart you will consider it. I know the man must be punished, and serve his right time... but when a child dies, when your own child is dying, it is different. I can only imagine the pain of it with my own daughter. With my sister, it was a pain so deep, and so thorough, I will never fully heal.
And I had the luxury of being by her every single remaining hour she had. I got to see in her, and see in her eyes, that last happiness, that last smile. I was the one she wanted to have with her. And I was lucky, because at that time I was a field medic in the Army, and I was given leave.
Please, if it is at all in your power, let this little girls wishes come true. She does not deserve this. There must be something you can do to reach out with compassion and help her have that smile too - so all those who grieve for years to come can share in that as well, so they can carry THAT last memory of her happy.
Please, you must do something. Before it is too late and her brain is too affected or the medicine too much for her to know. Let her die happy, please. Please. I''ve been through this, it is so important for everyone.
Let that warden find peace in his hard heart and know compassion - that this man may leave for a short time to fulfill their greatest need, and then come back and pick up where he left off. - Reply to this comment

- Doc,....I don''t think the Prisoners should be left out to see their kids every time they get a booger nose, neither do the rules. They do allow for extraordinary circumstances and its clear the girl is about to go to Heaven forever. That''s as "extraordinary" as you can get"! We''re concerned for her rights more than his.......I believe that all children under the age of accountability go to Heaven like the Bible says. Jesus even says that Heaven is filled with kids. What a happy place!

- Where is the compassion in this world???
Do people not understand that the single most overriding message of Jesus is to have compassion for others?

Compassion is not something that the people that run this nation have or prize.
Whatreallyhappened.com is a good place to get real news and learn just how lacking in compassion these people really are.
It was our compassion that made us strong and secure in the past. We were demoralized by the zionist controlled media.
When all hell breaks out as the dollar collapses, people will form into two groups, those driven by love and those with fear. Those people based in fear will destroy each other and those based in love shall inherit the Earth.
I too would take the fathers place while he spent time with the little girl. Although, it would be better to put someone in his place that imported the dope from the CIA Cocaine import agency.

Where will Jesus be once we get a precedent started and start letting ciminals out to see their sick kids and they flee to commit more crime??? When will we say that the responsibility is upon the criminal to NOT commit crime and insure that they will be FREE to spend time with their families like the resat of us who lead honest crime free lives?? Why is it now everyone elses responsibility to be compasionate when the kids own father didnt care eoungh about his family to NOT BREAK THE LAW???????? - Reply to this comment
- At least let him visit and then go back to his cell. If he is allowed to do this, maybe it will make him feel good about being a productive member of society when he is out. If he is not allowed to do this, maybe he''''ll be bitter and out for revenge.

Maybe if he ACTUALLY loved his family enough, he never would have chosen behaviors that were illegal and landed him in jail. Maybe if he ACTUALLY had CHOSEN not to consume illegal drugs he could be with his daughter right now. BUT HE DIDN''T CHOSE CORRECTLY and now he must pay the price: the price of crime is jail. It''s not up to the rest of the world to make special consessions for criminals because their kids get sick. - Reply to this comment
