Rachelle Wilkinson Gave Birth To Five Healthy (And Heavy) Babies
- What..They want help w/ their children..I can't believe it..a woman w/ 17 and now this..I have to pay to educate the ones school ages thru rent..I am poor..If they had 2 stop there and give them the proper training, rearing, they need. They SHOULD ban that what ever it is that causes multi births. The waste of money for that. They oaught pass a law to make them treatments illegal. Babies are needed but goiung overboard to have more than one can afford and give him/her the basics is plain dumb. I am 52. I was born to early. Therefore legally blind and multi handiacappd. It was my choice to not bring in to this world a child who I could not take care of,support, give the basics and the like. Yes I DID have my tubes fixed.

- They had 2 kids already and wanted a 3rd. Then She takes drugs and has five. That means seven in all.
I have they can handle that many. - Reply to this comment
- You shouldn't be having children you can't afford to raise through college. I imagine the tax payers will be feeding, clothing and sending these 7 children to college. What else are we here for. i guess it's a little better than spending the money on weapons and war but still, don't have kids you can't afford even if it's just one kid. There is such a thing as birth control and condoms.

I agree with 2 posts... one is that I was very surprised that they did not report the individual weights of each child. I was very interested in reading that - and it was not there.
I also do not believe in soliciting funds for this couple to raise their 7 children. First, they had to have a tremendous amount of initial financial outlay to go through the fertility treatments. They were well aware of the potential for a multiple birth and should have pre-planned for this "blessed" event.
There are many causes out there that should be considered long before this situation. These children will do quite well as it is clear they are super-stars already!!!
If people want to give to needy children - there are a lot more with rare diseases as well as educational challenges - so many more "needy" than this family.
We know they will have magazines offering them money for their story as well as other freebies that quints receive.
Since the Pro-Choice people are so determined that these children were meant to be no matter what the situation of the family - let them demonstrate that they can raise these children in "whatever" situation it is...
Prove it - don't keep saying it and then begging for peoples' money who could donate their money to causes that do not get such popularity.
I think they should have been happy with 2 if they could not have done it the "way God planned it"...
That's my $.02- Reply to this comment
- And another thing, if they can't afford these kids why in the world did they have them? Why is it up to us to give donations to people who have more kids than they can afford? So Tobikay, if you want to help go right ahead. Maybe they will even get on welfare then the rest of the nation can help out.

- Why are they calling this birth historic? It's not like people don't have litters, not births, anymore. Anyone can have more than one baby at a time if they want to take fertility drugs to do it. I wonder how excited she will be later on down the road when it is shown that these fertility drugs and shots increase your risk for ovarian cancer?

- This is a good example of half-assed reporting.
Was it too much trouble to list the individual weights of the babies? The collective weight is interesting but most newborns are introduced with weight information.

The Wilkinson's web site has the birth weights of each baby. - Reply to this comment
- Thanks for having this amazing story on your morning news program. I agree with the earlier post, go and check out their website www.wilkinsonquints.org and read the details of this incredible birth. Their Blog is as amazing as their family. The Wilkinsons are going to be very busy with this large new beautiful family. Thanks again for sharing such a happy event.
