This just points up the falicy of the claim that Mexican weapons come form U.S. gun dealers. Every time there is a photo of a Mexican weapons stash the majority of the weapons are things an ordinary gun dealer can't even buy, much less sell. But only a firearms enthusiast will know that, to the news sources they're all just American weapons. Yes they are, American MILITARY weapons, not something you could get from "Pop's Gun & Bait Shop".

For a moment, just imagine if the Bush Administration and Attorney General Ashcroft were behind a plot to arm the Mexican drug cartel with arms and grenades...and that that plot had led to the death of American citizens and law enforcement personnel.

Can you imagine the uproar in the MSM? Attkisson is the only journalist showing any interest in this story. The rest of the media has their hands over their collective ears going "LA-LA-LA-LA" to drown out the sound of this scandal.

Can civilians buy grenades?

Destructive grenades--frags, incendiaries, white phosphorus--are a totally different story. They are classed as Destructive Devices. To get one you need to file a form, get approval from the sheriff, get fingerprinted, go through a background check and pay a $200 tax for every grenade you want. It's not worth it.

So Questions:

Where are the finger prints?
Where are the background check documents?
Who is the sheriff that approved this?

Go get the answers CBS.
