What a couple of hate mongers you two are. You talk about your fellow Americans that way and ridicule their religion? You are a disgrace.

One - Perry is no "fellow American" of mine!

Two - his religion is a bigger joke than he is. You want me to apologize for that? Sorry, ain't gonna happen.......

Last April, from April 22 to April 24, Governor Rick Perry staged a 3 day prayer-thon, demanding that God send rain to Texas. Yet, wildfires are raging and in spite of tropical storm Lee, Texas is still left high and dry.

What is God telling Rick Perry and Texas?

Truth told. Global climate change, generated by green house gases, will create more extreme weather disasters. No, I am not saying that global climate change caused the drought in Texas, but as we dump more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, we can expect more droughts, more hurricanes, more floods, more tornadoes, not only in the US, but throughout the world.

So let's look at what is happening in Texas right now as a preview of what's to come - No, Gov, Perry, God is not going to do our homework for us. Rather than praying for rain, we need to start eliminating carbon emissions. That's the only way we can save the planet.

If the federal government steals that money from Texas in the first place, why shouldn't the governor ask for it back?

If you were an actual American, you would know that the Constitution gives the federal government the power to "lay and collect taxes".

I don't know why you ignorant Tea Baggers hate the Constitution (and America) so much, but if it's that bad, then why not pack your bags and leave?

It turns out that all the prosperous blue states provide backward red states like Texas more money from the federal government than they contribute. I think we should fix that for states that have ignorant, incompetent Tea Baggers like Perry running them.

You list a wildfire at Ute Creek, 8 miles south of somewhere in Colorado, but the wild fire orange dot on the screen is not in Colo. It is a good way south of the Colo border, on the line between AZ and NM.
Either the description is misplaced, or the dot is misplaced.

That's a rather strange comment isn't is. The candidates like Perry and Bachmann revel in telling us how important their religion is, going so far as to claim it is the one and only accepted by the "Founding Fathers" for the U.S., and WE shouldn't talk about it. Why would that be?

But hey...there's no such thing as anthropocentric climate change and if we destroy this Planet and our race, G-d will create another planet for us in 6 literal days!

Someone ought to throw Perry and all climate denying liars into burning Texas to give them a foretaste of things to come for them in the afterlife.

"Since December, wildfires have consumed 3.6 million acres of Texas - an area the size of the state of Connecticut." Makes being w/o electricity for a few weeks seem small to me. These folks are small town people losing everything they own, not Rick Perry or Barack Obama! Grow up & look up the meaning of empathy.

For pahgre: Empathy is the capacity to recognize and, to some extent, share feelings (such as sadness or happiness) that are being experienced by another sentient or semi-sentient being. Someone may need to have a certain amount of empathy before they are able to feel compassion.

Pahgre is a jaded individual. Probably has nothing but his computer. Has never acquired anything of his own through his own labors and hard work. He probably has no family, children and gives nothing back to his community. He is probably a stingy, small person and is angry at life and resentful for every business or individual that succeeds because it reminds him of his failure.
TxRancher1951..God Bless you. My dad is 82 years old and still maintains the home where he was born in 1929--a cotton farm in West Texas. It was nearly taken by fire a few months ago. He lives in LA but travels back and forth several times a year. These people live off the land and provide the rest of the country with food and goods. Bastrop is a residential, wooded community. These are children, families and pets without homes.

I guess God didn't care for Perry's big prayer meeting. What a shame that His punishment is being meeted out on Texas for the sin of rank hypocrisy of its leaders.
