Of course you also have the unnatural rates of glacier and icecap disappearance as the CO2 concentration curve has steepened (as a result of man's activities). Add in the increasingly hot summers worldwide and the extreme weather events around the world and you have increasingly compelling data in support of the THEORY of man made global climate change.
budget for the volunteer fire departments by millions.
You call people blaming God idiots and it's not his fault but you credit God with eventually sending rain to end the dust bowl. You are a perfect example of how stupid people who believe in religion truly are. If God created the world, then HE/SHE/IT is responsible for any drought, flood, earthquake, tornado, etc. It's God's design, quit whining and embrace that. If you believe part of the fairy tail, quite trying to dismiss the parts that don't fit or cast your God in an unfavorable light. I don't believe a God is responsible for the drought, nor do I credit a God when it rains. See how you equally credit or discredit for an event? Get a crowbar and try to open that little peanut you call a brain and let some light in.

Mid - would you agree the essence of all religion is the belief that bad, evil, negative are the absence of God, the positive, and/or simply good? That Ying and Yang function as a counter balance for each other without understanding why they act as such?
There would be little progress by man without needs, desires, defeats and triumphs. We are inquisitive creatures whose survival on this planet was at ensured by the whim of dna, a species that is always asking why.
"In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognize, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what really makes me angry is that they quote me for the support of such views."
"I'm not an atheist and I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangements of the books, but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God." - Albert Einstein.
The IPCC as you just mentioned doesn't employ scientists. Their whole existence is based on finding something that will grow the UN's role in the world. That's why the "summary for policymakers" is usually written BEFORE the report is done. In fact the "final ar3 report" was written not by scientists who had gone home but by lawyers and bureaucrats after the scientists had left.
Bottom line the IPCC is corrupted and is just and tool to be used as a power grab by the UN.

bugwhips? "...the IPCC is corrupted and and tool to be used as a power grab by the UN"
Where did you get this information and why would you believe it?
"The IPCC is a scientific body. It reviews and assesses the most recent scientific, technical and socio-economic information produced worldwide relevant to the understanding of climate change. It does not conduct any research nor does it monitor climate related data or parameters."

They collect data from scientist all over the world and that data is used to reach scientific hypostasis which are based on the summary of evidence collected - but it is far from a final report. Your conclusion is outside the working reality of the organization and their findings is reminiscent of the Church's denial of a Galaxy where the earth was not the center.
Of course science is not pure, nor is it infallible. It cannot be because the essence of scientific study is based upon always questioning the established rules. In the environment of analytical study the assertions that the motive is a super conspiracy to prove a point or idea is absurd.
So keep driving your SUV and large pickup to the suburban shopping malls. Keep buying huge homes and flying in airplanes. Keep voting for corporations and their "right" by voting Republicon. Keep voting to destroy our environment so we can consume more.
Righties hate to think AL Gore might make some profit. That is enough for them to deny Man made Global warming.
pahgre You are getting more and more idiotic every day! God has nothing to do with this! This is mostly man's doing! Droughts are something that have been happening periodically since time began. You probably remember studying in school about the dust bowl days of the 1930's. God eventually sent the rain then and He'll send it now in His own time.

You should be praying for them
Maybe their God is answering their prayers, just not the way they hoped.....
