Yes, what Weiner did was unethical to the nth degree (and he should have resigned as soon as he got caught in his lie), but Breitbart would have been better served by publishing, and then shutting up, allowing Weiner to hang himself on his own. The way Breitbart's going on, he's just once again making his political bias and the fact that he's nothing more than a media ho excruciatingly obvious.
But why is that a problem for you? Breitbart doesn't claim to be some unbiased media personality. He makes no secret that he champions conservative causes and he also makes no secret that he is a grandstander.
I remember when Matt Drudge came on the scene and the lamestream media tried to deligitimize him and predicted he was a passing fad. Years later Drudge is still around and the internet has spawned a billion new voices while it's the big media brands that are the endangered species.

It's great that the media world is full of variant voices and not totally controlled by a few "giants"... but thinking the giants (owned by very, very wealthy CORPORATIONS) are in danger of being marginalized just shows your own lack of information.

I don't understand congress people messing up like this. Once elected, they get all the money they want from the lobbyists from banks and corporations and free health insurance and pensions for life. This is how capitalism operates. The 2% that owns 95% of the wealth just buys congress people to pass laws to make it .5% own 99.5% of the wealth. Pretty soon it will be .01% of the population owning 99.999% of the wealth. Oh well, perhaps they will drop a crumb of bread now and again.

Breibart makes his living attacking Democrats. But take a very similar recent case involving a married Republican Congressman who trolled dating sites with a shirtless photo, claiming to be a mere House staffer. Wasn't Chris Lee forced to resign over the scandal? Wasn't his NY 26th district just won by a Democrat in a special election to replace him? Where was Breibart on this scandal?
That's the thing about Breibart. Even if he picks a valid target like Weiner, he is still a huge hypocrite and completely biased.
But the fact that Breibart is biased is really not an issue. He doesn't hold himself out as a regular member of the media. He holds himself out as a conservative blogger and by definition not an unbiased person.
Take off the blinders. The only reason there is a niche for Breitbart is that the lib media will never investigate things like this unless the congress-critter has an (R) behind his name.
