Moonbat Liberal - Evocative of the lunatic fringe, the phrase began existence as a disparaging slur against the "Far Left;" however, due increasing polarization within United States, and an ever-shifting culture war, the term has come to denote virtually anyone with a "liberal agenda."

Since you asked....you aren''t one! LOL

THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT IN THE WHITE HOUSE???
Posted by global_chick at 01:44 PM : Aug 22, 2007

We already have that in the White House, a non-bleeding heart type whose shown precious little compassion for other than big business and his cronies.

Bleeding heart liberals got that name from those who don''t want to get involved with anyone else but themselves and their own tiny circle of problems.

infidel_US,

I''m still not sure what a moonbat liberal is exactly but I''m pretty sure that Carville fits the profile.
I don''t often agree with him because I don''t often understand the cajun-to-english translation. Whenever the 2 of them are on tv my wife and I tune in because it''s such a freak show to see the 2 of them together.

We agree that we could never live with someone we disagreed with that fundamentally. Agreeing to disagree with one another is one thing, but sharing the same bed without grabbing a buther knife is another.

nyckate,

I can only speak for myself and perhaps elitist wasn''t the best choice of words because it conjures up different things for different people.

Here''s what I really think about Edwards in that regard. I think it''s admirable that he came from humble beginnings to achieve success and I don''t begrudge him for what he''s accomplished. On the other hand, I don''t think a "man of the people" would really be interested in the kind of palatial residence he''s built for his family in Chapel Hill; it''s excessive and not at all in keeping with his well manicured public image, nor does it exactly show leadership in the movement toward energy conservation. I just don''t think that in a world of need that anyone needs to take up that much space for a family his size. He should''ve bought the Biltmore in Asheville instead.

I''ve been a resident of North Carolina for the entirety of his public career and my opinion of him is more nuanced and mixed than either yours or global_chick.

global_chick,

I don''t want to get into a partison pissing match with you after condemning partison pissing matches but I''ve got to respond to a couple of your comments. I don''t doubt that Coulter has been misquoted from time to time, and even taken out of context. But it''s like Lewis Farrakhan,if you speak vile hatred one time people will read it in to the next time so you need to watch your words once you screw up. Not her, she proudly wears her hatred.

I don''t hate all conservative women who speak their mind, I don''t agree with a word that comes out of Mary Matalyn''s mouth or Karen Hughes or Peggy Noonan. I don''t hate any of them or resent them having a different take than me. They aren''t making smart remarks about someone''s death.

The difference between you and me is that I''ll condemn Bill Maher''s hate or Elizabeth Edwards'' sour grapes while you''ll minimize and defend Coulter''s and shift the responsibility to liberals.

End of story - for you and for her.

Wow....pretty judgemental there, aren''t we cupcake? I''ve been reading your posts for months and, IMO, you''re in NO position to throw stones. You do exactly what she does, only she does it with a sense of humor. You do it out of a sense of hatred.

There''''s nothing intelligent about Bill Maher and there''''s nothing intelligent about Ann Coulter;we could do just fine without either one of them.
Posted by realpatriot1 at 12:39 PM : Aug 22, 2007

And have in the past. :) I used to like Ann cause she gives it to the ultra left in a BIG way. But the ends don''t justify the means, and her constant abrasive personality and nasal voice really grates on my nerves.

Too bad the bleeding heart left doesn''t have as much sympathy for another cancer patient, Mr. Tony Snow. Read for yourself the comments they made about him on a leftist Web site recently:

TDoff says: Under the heading of ''What goes around comes around'', the cancer in Tony Snow is removing the cancer of Tony Snow from the national scene.OMG, could there be a god?

TDoff says: A pox on all the pious putzes who protest the expressions of those who wish Snow a fond adieu.Cancer has nothing to do with it, whether it was an eighteen-wheeler driven by a doped-up dealer, a tree felled by a naked beaver, a dose of arsenic-laced ***, whichever of the ''mysterious ways'' caught up with this faker, he should be wished a hearty ''Godspeed'', and soon. To paraphrase the Boxer, ''Lying has consequences'', or should.

lyleblog says: Tell The Lying Sack of *** To Suck It Up and Live With It. This medically proves that when you talk out your ***, it''s a matter of garbage out/garbage in. There are women and men receiving rectal exams from Rocket Propelled Grenades, IED''s, suicide bombers and mines for no reason. When they come home they have to fight for treatment and rehab. I think the OutHouse could shut up already and quit trying to score political points.

Pelagius says: @zkemeny: Yeah, he looks pretty bad there. Almost like someone without a colon.

Edwards should have been shamed in to quitting after his remark about Cuban healthcare. I guarantee you that if a republican had said that, you''d be reading about it on CBS'' and other MSM sites.

The fact that you don''t see it here is further proof of their bias.
