Takes On Administration On Numerous Fronts In New Book
- Who by the way are also victims of this Presidents policies carrying the tax burden for this war, the debt on the backs of their grandchildren, gaining reduced opportunities for prosperity, losing their pensions and health care and sacrificing their sons and daughters in a civil conflict, but they appear to be willing victims of this morally corrupt sect if it gains them what they perceive to be some minor elevated righteousness some new red meat to hate or dislike or control.

- Gore: Bush Leads "Assault On Reason" ????
The bottom line here is from the Tennessee Public Policy Center, Algore "uses more electricity in his mansion outside Nashville than 20 average homes combined for a year. His twenty-room, eight bathroom mansion, located in the Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service. The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours." That's more than 20 times the national average, and last August alone... You heard about this, Dawn? This is virgin news to you? Oh! "Last August alone, Algore burned through 22,619 kilowatt-hours, more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year."
Now... "As a result of his energy consumption, the average monthly electric bill at Gore's house topped $1,359." That's the average monthly. That strikes me, given the size of Algore's house and the amount of electricity he's using, as not that much. "Since the release of his" bogus documentary that's really a propaganda piece, "Gore's energy consumption has increased. - Reply to this comment
- The fact of the matter is that we have lost no rights, and it is a fear tactic on Mr. Gore's part to try to convince the easily lead that we have.
It is also significant that Al Gore was America's "Special Ambassador" to the 1997 Kyoto Convention, that he keeps quoting, and yet niether he nor anyone else in the Clinton Administration did a *** thing promoting the Kyoto Protocol, until Bush was elected, and they began using him as their scape goat.
Al Gore is the only person ever to twice concede the same Presidential election, and then pretend that somehow, he really won all along. - Reply to this comment

- Al Gore...again you are on point with a whole lot of us who have watched with astonishment and horror as this administration has--through its ignorance, arrogance and misguided neocon philosophy--done untold damage to this nation's reputation in the world.
I'm beginning to believe we owe Al another chance to set things right.

If anyone has not listened to Gore then you need to. It's so nice to hear someone speak again that has some smarts. It really brings out how stupid and unprofessional Dumbya is! Plus Gore is 100% correct!

We'll he certainly appears to have the guts and competence to take on this hateful vicious crowd on the fringe right, and he is a TRUE accomplished Statesman but why would he want to, he has served our country for many years, not sure we deserve he and his families additional sacrifice? - Reply to this comment
- I am shocked at the large population of people we have in this country who like living in fear and being manipulated by fear-tactics. This Administration only knows leadership through terror. They brought in the Religious Right to add credence to their philosophy. Together the formula for hate and fear is airtight you have the perfect storm...Bush...and his disciples embracing the 'control through fear' principle.
It sickens me that so many of our civil rights have been trampled under the weight of Bush's fear-based boot. Thousands have died because of his profound belief that there are two groups of people on this planet; those who agree with every thing he says without question because they know he is always right and those who don't...or as he calls them...terrorists. As far as Bush is concerned, to question or offer an alternative thought to the process is to admit you are anti-Americian, or terrorist, even though our very foundation for Democracy was built on exactly that process. He is ill.
I could understand if this type of abhorrent behavior was new...but Hitler's been there done that!!! And we, as a nation, rose up against him!!!!
Am I really in such a small percentage of people who see the same thing? Really? It would make me very sad, but I choose to be happy...inspite of leadership that warns against such a free choice. - Reply to this comment
- "I'll take Carter and Gore any day over what you cons have provided us Jane. You have last throes Cheney and a President who is leading the most corrupt and inept administration in history. A comparison of Gore or Carter with Bush is not something you cons should point to. "

elz523: Gore lost any chance of the Presidency during the 2000 race by making similar inane lies that Bush is now famous for.
If you're wanting Honesty in a Prez and one that actually believes in the Constitution, look at Ron Paul. If the man were to tell a lie his tongue would fall out of his head. He's not the best public speaker, but he's the man that actually has the best interests of this country at heart. - Reply to this comment

- Suggested other title might have been The Assault on Democracy. What Gore describes is a political sect with Bush as its leader, wielding a political dogma on the fringe of the ideological right, cloaked in patriotism and religion, who has exaggerated fear in the populace to distract and steal our freedoms, our treasures, our community, our media, our pride and one of our two parties. Our democracy was founded with a structure built in to balance the powers for the majority and rebuff such a grab by any branch or minority, but our elected officials in Congress failed to reign in this fringe dogma for party gain, our court ruled on ideological lines, our DOJ election process corrupted from within, our electorate unengaged or myopic in their interest and our discourse orchestrated to challenge each other and not the officials accountable for working against our country. The death toll of US Soldiers increased for May to 119 today, the Iraq Politicians are on holiday, and GBII spokesperson says he wants to stay for maybe 50 years in Iraq and the US, that would be we, are paying 3 billion every two weeks, we our deep in debt to other world powers making us unsafe. This conflict is not in the Interest of the Majority of Americans ceratinly not for the price we are paying, by waiting until September we would have another 300 to 400 hundred more soldiers dead and the price tag 2 Trillion Dollars. Demand Congress do their job for America and stop funding this fringe poloicy now.

- Every patriotic American needs to go to the following Web Site and read the President's Directive. If you don't understand it, ask your lawyer to explain it to you for your own good.

- Thank God, someone with intelligence has stepped up to the task of defending the Constitution of the United States and our Bill of Rights that has national authority and is not brought. The Assault of Reason has been happening for a longtime, thank you, Vice President Al Gore for defending America. If he runs for President I will stop supportng Senator Obama and recommend that he and Gore get together for a win/win ticket.......We know whom really won in 2000 and he has a chance to serve us all and not be brought by "K" street money.

Bush is, by far, the worst President in U.S. history.
He's a complete disaster for this country and this world.
On the bright side, he's sunk radical, extreme right wing-nut conservatism for a long time.
You know conservatism is dead when they have to pay hacks like mudrose, badax, notblue, lars etc. to post here and elsewhere.- Reply to this comment
