- Oh Please! They are probably just quitting their reality show! They're just trying to make one last attempt to get high ratings.

- In the name of everything holy, WHO CARES ABOUT THESE WEIRDOS?!!!! I have never (nor will I ever) wasted my precious family time watching these idiots hash it out. I do know that the exploiting of those children needs to stop though. Greedy witch needs to shut down the show and get a real job. Can't afford daycare? Shouldn't have had so many kids. I can't believe that these losers are in the top five most popular on cbsnews.com. People are losing their lives over in Iran and these dipsticks are popular. Not in my world. Go away.

- I think Kate has turned into a diva and Jon has pretty much remained the same. He was her way out of the trailer park and now, with their 8 kids, she can physically stay out of the TP, but her behavior says she still belongs there.

- It won't matter. This family will be media material for years--they will never again be anonymous and they will be followed through the divorce, the custody, schooling, new relationships and college---
SO why not be paid for it. They can walk away from the show but the media show won't ever stop. - Reply to this comment
- Give me a break--this is par for the course for any studio and any star--look at the gift bags at the awards shows--stats get star treatment and pampered. The show makes money for TLC--the kids get to go places and the parents get stuff but most of it is part of the show--the staging and scenery and locations. Its all production expense.
When you consider the salary demanding by stars of hit shows on network--Friends etc shows where the stars demand a million dollars per episode etc---their perks are NOTHING!!!! Given a choice would you rather have a new washer and drier or a high salary....geeze they are normal regular people who are being rewarded for the success of their show---there isn't once successful tv star who doesn't get treated the same.
I think a lot of people are just jealous--because they don't get free stuff given to them for their jobs...and because their children don't get to go to every amusement park/museum/recreational center....they aren't given box seats and t-shirts. I'm sorry but those children have had more opportunities before they turned 5 than many regular kids in their entire childhood. - Reply to this comment
- Have any of you gone through extemely stressful circumstances--try to imagine going through a divorce in public, a spouse who hates you, a public that is making you out to be a monster--huge financial obligations and contractual issues with a whole lot of legal stuff going on.
Tell me that you would keep it together, that you would never speak sharply to your child,
If YOU found yourself in over your head--knowing that walking away from the show probably WON'T save your marriage at this point....knwing that by breaking your contract you might be sued for much more than your salary---what would you do???
All you holier than thou's out there are pretty quick with the judgment... - Reply to this comment
