Comments on: Jon & Kate Splitting?
Word Of "Life-Changing Decisions" Promised On Monday Night's Show
- Oh come on! Have you been around a five year old girl? They are over emotional about EVERYTHING. I swatted all of my kids and they are all very well behaved children. Notice I said swat, not beat, not spank. A swat is one hit to the bottom that does not hurt, but does get their attention.
Last I checked it's a free country and we are allowed to disipline our children the way we see fit to do so.
We don't know the story behind the water issue. It could have been that they were playing around with the water earlier and spilled it, or had to go to the bathroom every 2 minutes. Come on have a brain!
The tabloids are showing you what makes the hole family look bad.
Its been taken out of context.
ANYONE can look bad if you only show little bits and pieces of whats going on - Reply to this comment
- It's all part of the deal!
Who in their right minds would look at all of that and turn it down?
Remember they were STRUGGLING when they first started the show. Kate would work a double shift every Saturday, just to get by.
Who knew that it would tear their lives apart? - Reply to this comment
- BTW, mrmm26a, Do you know Kate? or do you just believe everything that you read?
It's really non of our business how this family behaves. Kate can be a controlling b* as much as she wants and Jon can be a slacker all that he wants.
It's a TV show. They edit and creat drama to get people to watch.
People behave like these two all the time, it's just not broadcasted on TV for millions to watch.
It's called entertainment. If you don't like it, don't watch it. But don't make judgements against people you don't know. - Reply to this comment
- Bingo!
People go outside once in awhile instead of hanging out on the couch watching this junk. Thousand more people with their thousand more kids will take their places. - Reply to this comment

- I wish they would take off all these stupid reality shows off the air. I could care less what large family's are doing plus making an income from it as well. cbs, nbc, abc, tlc...ect I just reality shows period and their are so many more coming up..YUK.What happened to good ole fashioned sit coms? And even the sit coms are about who's getting laid and who isn't..who cares. Isn't there any funny stuff without the smut??
- I agree with you. And, I recently saw an "informal" poll where 96% of the respondents thought that spanking a child was OK. I received my share of swats on the bottom when I was a child, and it didn't make me think my parents hated me, or that hitting someone was the answer to a problem. It just made me realize that I had "stepped over the line", and made me give the "swatter" my FULL attention. It worked.

- I agree completely joe- I'm amazed by how many people are interested in ANY reality show. Guess it's the "dumbing down" of America. Very sad.

- So to make sure I have this straight, the "Defense of Marriage" dingbats have NO ISSUE with this family of 10 splitting up, but strictly oppose two people of the same sex getting married?
And they have NO ISSUE with reality shows such as this, "Rock of Love", the Tila Tequila show, etc, etc, etc, but strictly oppose two people of the same sex getting married?
The lack of comments on THIS topic / subject, just proves that their vitriol and hatred of "gay marriage" is just a sham, and it's really the bigotry and intolerance of gays that they're opposed to. If they were REALLY concerned about "the sanctity of marriage", they would be defending it against ALL threats to it - not just one. - Reply to this comment
- Sad - what I doubt either of them realizes is how much worse divorce is. At night, when a child needs both their parents to console them from the latest nightmare, school crisis, etc. - they'll have only one. Only one will hear the casual dinner conversation that is so much of your relationship with your kids. Only one will be there - and that one will be overloaded with work trying to take the place of two parents. The other will be overloaded trying to manage child support, and where their salaries once paid for one mortgage, it will now have to stretch to two - a huge added expense.
I sure understand the difficulty of marriage - but making it work is best for the kids and the parents. - Reply to this comment
