Even though I don't agree with her views on gay marriage; she has a right to voice her view - she was ASKED! It's not like she goes around spouting off her views like Liberal morons such as Sean Penn and Jeneanne Garafalo. It's amazing that all the Hollywood libs are making such a BIG deal about this, but us "normal" people have to listen to the Hollywood Liberal kooks spouting off all the time with their idiotic views and they expect us to listen without complaint. What a bunch of hypocrites!

As I noted before, Because liberalism has turned into a pseudo-religion with all the negatives any religion brings with it. A sense of superiority, as well as bigotry and hatred against those who dont share the same views as your "religion" does. The sad thing about liberals is that, like many religions, they are so convinced they are the good guys that they have no insight into how vicious and abusive they are toward others. Liberals like to make fun of "christian love" calling it an oxymoron. Well, liberal tolerance has become an oxymoron as well. Isn't it sad that the human race is so pathetic that even when we create a movement aimed at helping others and fighting for people's rights we can not do it without turning it into a hate group that becomes just as vicious as the hate it was meant to fight?

Here you are, ranting about one set expressing their opinions while ranting about another set being persecuted, in your eyes, for expressing their opinions...

Take a note: It is that hypocrisy - that do as I say, not as I do attitude - that is killing the Republican Party.

Sad, in a way - most of the time when someone or some entity is committing suicide, they use a weapon that doesn't make so much daggone noise.

If the Republicans just HAVE to commit suicide by mouth, I wish they could find a way to make the act less drawn-out and whiny.

heard Carrie Prejeans interview with some Christian Fundamentalist minister. All it was a spewing of far right Christian fundamentalist buzz words and rhetoric. It was enough to gag a maggot. I was on her side until she opened her big mouth and did that. It was sickening. All she is is another far right nut case out to impose her sick belief's upon America. I don't agree with gay marriage either. But, unlike bigots like her I don't feel the need to impose my belief's upon rest of the country.

I disagree! Miss Prejean simply answered a question (about gay marriage) honestly and in a manner consistent with the views of a majority living in this country. The intolerant liberals did not like this and so viciously attacked her and attempted to destroy her career. In response, she turned to the groups that might help her in this situation, which included churches and NOW. However, this was in reaction to being attacked and her career being put in jeopardy (for her these contests are a springboard for her career).

This reaction is actually common. Call it psychological reactance or polarization. Its a common dynamic during conflicts (such as those in a troubled marriage) one side attacks the other and in reponse the other side becomes more firmly entrenched in their opposing opinion, if only as a way of maintaining a sense of identity and not being swollowed up by the others attempt at manipulation and control.

Thus, what the liberals have done is taken an innocent reponse (the whole answer was thirty seconds. She did not say take away rights, just that she did not support gay marriage, as you wrote in your own post). However, the vicious attacks have polarized her and forced her to turn to the far right for support. Perhaps, due to cognitive disonance (do some research) she then adopted thier more extreme views so an not to feel like a hypocrite. I believe liberals caused this. For shame!!!
