Whether they chose a gay host (male or female) is really irrelevant. I absolutely agree with you that everyone is entitled to his/her opinion and to voicing that opinion without rebuke.

Perez Hilton is *himself* the problem. I doubt he really cares about her political leanings or her looks. All he cares about is trying (in his on pitiful way) to gain publicity (read $$$) for himself.
If he truly was objecting to her statements as a matter of principle, I would support him fully, just as I support the young lady's right to her opinion.
However, I see him as a vulgar human being with the basest of motives for everything he does. As such, he is completely insignificant and doesn't even rate contempt.

If people like Perez Hilton are representative of homosexual rights fighters I have changed my mind. They are all scumbags who deserve to be scourged from the earth. You first. Predjudice, hate, and failed logic are usually the signs of a degenerate mind. You show examples of all three when you attack a young woman who answered a question truthfully.
