That is what we are talking about here is a cosmetic procedure.

No--this is about a state cheating to give their contestant the best chance of winning and paying for it. Every other contestant from California who was never offered plastic surgery OR who was eliminated back in the day due to fake anything, should sue the hell out if the California state pageant--because by granting this for her and not for others, they showed bias. Years ago, a procedure like that would have meant disgrace for the candidate and removal of any judge who condoned it.

the fact is, if Miss Prejeans, boobs were not up to par on their own--then she was NOT fit to be in the pageant and judged on her NATURAL beauty and talent, anyway.

THIS is what all of this is about--an organization PAYING out dough to stack the deck for their representative. All other state pageants (who did not do this) should protest.

When did it become a "journalists" job to import his or her opinion into a story. Are you telling me Maggie Rodriquez does nothing cosmetic to make herself look better on camera ?? That is what we are talking about here is a cosmetic procedure. Whether Maggie agrees with it or not is not the story here, but she sure made it one. Get off your soapbox and report the story......Journalism 101 !!!!!

The difference is very clear--anyone can get any job done and many do--but in a contest based on natural physical beauty and poise--a state pageant paying for 'enhancements' is CHEATING. We'd all be screaming if this was an athlete and a state had condoned and paid for drugs to improve their chances of winning in a sport.

she cheated and her state condoned and helped her. Unless all states had the option, knew they had the option and/or exercised that option; Miss Prejean was a ringer and a cheat and should be disqualified.

i think many of the contestants likely have had some kind of work done on their bodies to "present" themselves in "the best possible light on a national stage." it's a shame that we still have these types of contests/pageants/competitions today. flipping through the tv one weekend, i came across a pageant show that was designed for little bitty girls and up in age. some of those young girls, 5, 6, 7 years old, already acted liked little witches to their stage moms and dads, and the parents, good golly, are even worse. when will we, as a society, stop judging people, especially women, on the basis of their looks, and not on their accomplishments?

This is ridiculous. Just because the girl stood up for her beliefs, now the stupid media is finding any "dirt" that they can. Leave the poor girl ALONE! I don't see any other stories about the other girls that have fake boobs because I'm sure most of them do. All the media is trying to do is scare everyone out of sticking up for their beliefs - what a sad world it will be if they accomplish their goal.

but won't tolerate anyone who is against them. This proves that they will go to any means neccessary to push their agenda.

Who tolerates someone against them? Your post looks like you don't do too bad a job not tolerating those who exposed this bit of info, yourself.

News flash--there'd be nothing to report on Miss Prejean if she had not done this--she threw down the gambit and judged others, now everyone else is lining up with a bucket of stones for her glass house.

Leave it to the left to sully anyone and everyone for anything. Who in the hell cares whether she had breast implants. Where are the little liberal supporters of women and rights to do with their body as they wish??? I am an independent but I find the left increasingly repulsive in their approach to others with differing views.

Miss California HAD breast implants??????????????????????

What? did she take those fake bags out?

If not, the correct verbiage is that " Miss California HAS breast implants"

I feel cheated! These pageants should be about women that have "natural" beauty, charm, personality, etcetera. Not about those who can afford liposuction, breast augmentation, lip injections, tummy tucks, and tens of thousands of dollars of dental work!

I don't think state pageants should be in the business of bankrolling contestants for personal enhancements prior to the "main event"---the national pageant! Though, it's a safe bet, Miss
California wasn't the only one who was artificially enhanced!

It definitely reduces the sympathy I had for her getting the politicized question regarding gay
marriage.

mAYBE--BUT DID THEIR STATE PAGEANTS HELP PAY FOR IT? IT WAS/IS CHEATING. No different than drug enhancements for atheletes or 'stacking ' a deck of cards.

In other words artificial enhancement to enhance chances of winning. Fake body parts should be disqualified or else stop using real women and let each state just send the best sculpture or mannequin after they PAY to make it look the best.

10 or 20 years ago, Miss C would have losther crown for this and the judges would have lost their jobs--but pageants still had stds, back then--now contestants can be drunken hos--with fake boobs as long as the Donald likes them.

Come on, look at pictures of her and then pictures of her sister. Methinks Miss California is about 60 percent plastic.

CBS you should be ashamed. This is a smear tactic against Carrie Prejean. Keith Lewis is obviously gay, and he is trying to ruin her good name. The fact that he kept saying that he wouldnt encourage a woman to get breast implants is ridiculous. He works for the pageant industry for heavens sake. Unfortunately, the gay rights activists don't practice what they preach. They want tolerance for "all people" , but won't tolerate anyone who is against them. This proves that they will go to any means neccessary to push their agenda.
You however are only making your news organization look like the National Enquirer when you engage in such trash. I guess I'll be watching ABC from now on.

Fake breasts. What would the BIBLE have to say about something like that Miss Prejean?

Hmmmm--a Jezebel -like act--to enhance secondary sexual organs--not Christlike

Fake boobs are deceptive. They are meant to fool the unwary that something man-manufactured are natural and God given. All deception are LIES --not Christlike. In fact the bible says those who are liars and deceivers have their father in Satan.

Into physical contests for looks and fame and money--talk about VANITY--one of the 7 deadly sins--not Christlike.

but you hold onto your bias about gays, Miss C--it won't get you points as far as God is concerned--and with your already embrace of other non-Christlike behavior; you stand a good chance of getting to feel really smug as you tread LAVA in that Lake of Fire God has planned for all sinners...and guess what? Those who lie or deceive or fornicate or seduce or worship Mamon (riches), or gossip or backstab or spread rumors, or cheat--will be in the Same hell ad the abortion getters, child molesters, murderers, etc.

there is no big sin, little sin, Miss C and you and the state of Californis pageant are CHEATERS, TOO.

Miss California should be disqualified. If the pageant assisted Miss C in anyway, they already showed bias and discriminated for her as a candidate. Unless they offered every single other contestant the same procedure and same "help" then their actions made Miss California a 'ringer' and not a contestant on the same footing as everyone else. She should be eliminatedm and any judge who vited to help her should be replaced and barred from judging pageants for life.
