Foozballs: You must remember that God is like the big slaver in the sky. If you don't do what you are told, you will be punished. Since they cannot punish you while alive, they will threaten you forever via your "soul". Whatever that is. It behooves those selling the cure to make people think they have the disease.

Ummm, but god is a creation from someone's imagination. How else was he/she/it derived? Its all in your personal belief, which is fine...but when you suggest somebody will burn in helll for not sharing your belief...that's just plain silly.

i love it how theists can take the idea of a creator and automatically call it a "god". tell me, oldtimer, how does one go from "something created us" to "jesus died for your sins". I cannot fear retaliation from a being in which I do not believe, no matter how others feel.

I haven't noticed anyone on this board claiming to believe specifically in reincarnation, which is what you are referring to. However, after people die, who are you to say they do not go on to their next destination? Energy is neither created nor destroyed. You may think it is just absorbed into the atmosphere. I for one do not believe that. We are each entitled to our own beliefs.

Apparently there are two "fads" in Hollywood at the present time:

1. IVF to guarantee you will give birth to twins - even if you can conceive the normal way. I don't think it is statistically possible to concentrate as many twin births in one location as is currently being experienced in Hollywood without "designer" help.

2. Vanity Adoptions while using these children as accessories. If this was anything but a publicity stunt, Madonna would be sneaking in under cover of night and leaving with her new child before daybreak.
