Comments on: Concern Rises Over Rihanna's Safety
Several Well-Known Women, Hearing She May Be Back With Chris Brown, Urge Her To Heed History
- I honestly don?t think that the celebrities that are telling her to leave him truly care about her, they are not a part of their relationship and don?t know the truth as to what happen and I don?t believe that they ever talked to Rihanna before therefore they don?t have any knowledge of what going on with these two kids.

It doesn't matter what happened. The fact is that they are hitting each other. They need to seperate, because it will continue to happen. Once a hitter, always a hitter. Unless they seek help, and we all know that's probably unlikely. - Reply to this comment
- I am not at all concerned for her safety. She knows what he is capable of and still she chooses to stay with him.

- zumazuma13 .... She is just as guilty as he is. She assaulted him first. She should have been "adult" enough to walk away.

No, that is not what I am saying. If it was the other way around and Chris had slapped Rihanna and then she in return had beat him bloody and choked him telling Chris she was going to kill him she would be just as guilty as Chris is now with criminal charges brought against her. - Reply to this comment
- First of all I would like to ask everyone that passed judgment about Mr. Brown before knowing the facts of the case, what does crow taste like? Now, I am not justifying what he did to his girlfriend but when someone lays a hand on another, whether they be male or female, one should expect a reaction. A slap is one thing, a slap with precious metals and gems is another ball game. When I mentioned the slapping before it was publicly known, I received several responses condemning my sentiments because people refusedt to believe that she was capable of assault, but when a young man is accused of the same thing he instantly becomes a monster. The truth of the matter is, only they know what transpired in the car that night, so let them sort out their lives in private. Your worthless input may make you feel better but the fact remains, she struck (out of character) first and hard and he reacted (out of character) disproportionately. And for Oprah, is she god?

she's a grown woman. what she does is her business. ignorance is fixable...you learn and move on. stupid is forever....if she isn't willing to learn from this and move her azz out of this situation...she's stupid. support has nothing to do with it. we are living our lives as examples to learn from....awesome role models or terrible warnings. she has everything she needs to make a wise decision. no one can be blamed if she chooses to be a terrible warning. - Reply to this comment
- I hope he beats her to death. Problem solved.

- Rihanna with his fingers pushing on her carotid artery. He also threatened to kill her which is criminal.

Who hasn't been mad at some point in their life and made the statement, 'I should kill you...' "I oughta kill you'...'I wish you were dead..'...statements. But today they are considered terroristic threats...when it's convenient or someone can get a leg up in society by putting someone away for saying it. She might have said the same thing...but her report went in first...being the 'victim'. Hog wash....she incited the confrontation....same as people who incite road rage and then get to play victim when someone bites. They need to go down just as hard for inciting.... - Reply to this comment

- To every action there is a reaction. I think there is a double standard from some of us women; we speak about abuse from men yet there are men out there like us women who are abused. We should not only say abuse against women is wrong but abuse all around is wrong. Rihanna is wrong, he should not have hit her, but we all handle situations differenty. I believe that there is a fine line that as women we should not cross and she crossed it.

- TO: tomanyt "Why are HER actions not criminal??? Is it because she's a woman??????"
Because a slap is not the same as beating and choking someone. Chris could have killed Rihanna with his fingers pushing on her carotid artery. He also threatened to kill her which is criminal. - Reply to this comment
- geeee.....I bet Rhianna has never heard about domestic abuse...(she's probably done some sort of PSA about it!!!! ) Climb off. Who cares what Oprah thinks? She can't even control what goes into her big fat mouth. If someone needs help....they need professional help...not some over priced celebrity making their business something to profit from....they sound soooooooooo concerned....all of them stand to gain by sticking their fat noses into personal business.

- Rihanna slapping Chris was wrong but what Chris did in return was criminal.

- In my younger years, i can remember going out to dances etc. with booze and these little guys, 5'4" , 160 lbs. drunk on their butts, would pick a fight with a guy 6'4", 250 lbs. The big guys, if they could be coerced into fighting would often clean the clock of the little guys. Who's to blame, the big guy for beating the crap out of the little guy or the little one for throwing the first punch? They both are! They both need to be spending some time in jail.

- Rihanna slapping Chris was wrong but what Chris did in return was criminal. Chris was not beaten to a bloody pulp and choked! Chris has acted like a coward since the night he did this to Rihanna, leaving her stranded by the side of the road and running away that night was the second despicable thing Chris did that night. It took Chris nine days to apologize to Rihanna, and then he did it in a text message! Chris should do the right thing and take himself off the ballot for the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards Nominations. If Chris really loved and cared for Rihanna he would stay away from her instead of trying to use her to rehabilitate his image.

- I am a woman and I don't think its right for a woman to hit a man either. If I slap my husband, I would expect a response out of him too. I wouldn't expect to be beaten to the floor but anyone's reflex is to hit back. A man shouldn't hit a woman, but a woman shouldn't hit a man either without expecting to get hit back.
