Voight''s attack on Obama is way off base. His charges:

1) Obama will withdraw from Iraq - wrong, Obama said that during the primary, but has already given his classic, "um well, actually I meant blah blah blah" retraction on that one. Obama will not withdraw from Iraq, any more than he was really against NAFTA.

2) Obama will bring socialism - wrong, Obama''s economic "advisors" are the usual suspects, for example one of them said subprime mortgages were good because they expand home ownership, ie Bush''s exact words. These are precisely the free-market free-trade extremists who got us into this mess. They are arrogant elitists who are for the rich getting richer, that is his economics team. Hardly "socialists"

3) Obama is a black racist - wrong, Obama''s every action and words since the nomination have been white racist talk. Every Chicago politician from his district goes to that same church and courts those local politicians, that just Obama being a sleazy weasel, his beliefs are clearly arrogant supremacy, the philosophy of Harvard and the wealthy.

Jon Voight , you are the man . NO wonder your daughter do not agree with you .When people are young , they do not think wisely a lot of time , wisdom come with age , so , wait and see , like they said , one only become the real parent when their child is over 50 , because then , the child realizes that his or her parents had been right all the way , when they are younger , they do not think that way , they mock you on your age and your look , they do not yet know that that is the price of wisdom ....sigh...Like Obama , he is a young celebrity who has rarely done a thing that is meaningful except drawing big crowd , well , I think Britney can also do that , He mocked Mc Cain on his age and look ,yet , when under pressure , the old man was right . Like I said , youth, they think they are on top of the world , only when they land their behind , they find out that it was not the case , only then, they respect wisdom and age !

Yes , finally , a man with wisdom and courage ! In this day and age , the fad is coming out and swoon over Obama like he is the second coming of Jesus and if you dare to raise questions about him , you are branded all kinds of Names ....I am sick of it to my neck ...To be honest , if I know anyone who belong to a radical organization or if they say things that I think is extreme , I would not even go near them ,why , because it is uncomfortable and disturbing . So , I can not understand how Obama can have these extreme friends who either "*** America " or " Bomb America " or " Hate America" or "not proud of America since childhood " and STILL BE MODERATE ! This is completely WRONG ..So you can not be guilty by association ? Okay , then If I hang around drug dealers , terrorists , white supremacy , hate groups ...that would still NOT make me any worse than who I am ? The fact is , if I am as Good as I think I am , I would run as fast and as far from them as possible. But Obama hung around these people for 20 YEARS and somehow , he is immuned to all those negative influences ??? It has to be either Obama is the REAL JESUS or that you guys are drinking too much of that KOOL-aid that you should stop long ago...

If you dont agree with Jon Voight you need not personally attack him professionally and personally. In doing so all you do is degrade your ''character'' and show what a really ''small'' person you really are. Debates are good for those who are intellectually capable of looking at both sides of an issue. By debating an issue we learn from others about the ''issue''; its not about character assassination!

You want another 8 years of neo-conservatism? McCain voted with Bush 100% of the time the last 4 years. Time for a change.

I have the same fears as Jon Voight and yes, a lot of people can be mesmerized by someone new and diferent; especially when people are as upset with our government as they are right now. History tells us and has shown us that one person can mesmerize many. It doesnt take smoke and mirrors. With the problems in this country we want to hear that everything will be okay in no time. We want to believe that somebody has the magic to heal our wounds. Leave Jon Voight alone. We all have a right to express our opinion. There are people who have fought so we can have that right!!! And, dont forget it. Go ahead Jon, say what you have to say now. Dont know what kind of government we''ll have after 2008. Better say what you have to say now.

Like Jon Voight, I am disturbed by the images of a male prostitute, drunken fighter, evil snake handler, back-stabbing money-hungry traitor... oh wait! those are Jon''s chosen movie roles. What am I thinking. Guess he''s certainly qualified to be a good judge of character- oops, his daughter hates him. Oh well.

Jon Voight: yet another repug taken in by the Rovian talking points of the militantly in.sane right-wing neocons who have done such an excellent job of effing up this country!

Not one of the repug sc.um have the slightest clue what socialism is. To the repug leaders, it''s just another word to scare their "base", which consists entirely of igno.rant in-bred re.tarded paranoids who get their talking points and marching orders from Faux News, Bill O''Liely, etc.

Yay for Jon Voight! Finally a celebrity that can see Barack Obama for what he is, a danger to our country. I can''''t understand why so many people are mesmerized by Obama.

Do you understand why so many people were "mesmerized" by Bush?

There''s your answer.

Sounds like bad news for McCain. How exactly would Obama "bring Socialism to the US"? I have seen this scare tactic increasingly and it looks more than a little silly. I mean, even if Obama were a Socalist, which he is not, how would a Socialist President change things without Congress, etc.

dooney8: "Lately, all of Obama''''s speaches have been disrupted by heckeler''''s. Three young african american men heckeled him last week. What''''s going on?"

Looked like professionals to me- they had a banner with an email address which I could not read- probably Socialist Workers Party or Lyndon LArouche

This guy is a real looser-

His claim to fame is a 30 year old flick he won an academy award for who nobody ever heard of then or now which was a completely political deal by the academy because it was anti-Vietnam War...

In the film Voight played kissy kissy with none other than certified pinko JANE FONDA and he wants to criticize Obama for his prior associations (and fictional associations as well).

Voight glamorized male prostitution in Midnight Cowboy and helped spawn the aids epedemic (well it''s as good a his logic).

His own daughter won''t even talk to him...
