This is so ridiculous!! Who got to decide that painted toenails was feminine? It's paint on toes - not something that ONLY women do. Lots of men paint their toenails - STRAIGHT men. I know because I am 100% straight, happily married with 4 kids and I am sitting here typing this with orange polish on my toenails. My wife thinks its sexy. I am not the least bit feminine, I am '6 tall, muscular with lots of tattoos AND painted toenails. So all you people saying this will make her kid gay or trans or girly, or any of that, are just IGNORANT. Some colored paint on his toenails won't make him anything he isn't already! Get a life people!
Why is this a problem just ignorant people making comments. I personally dont know bout hot pink but i dont see nothing wrong. A mother sharing quality time with her son. Something most parents dont do these days, or say they dont have the time. They say its going to make him need help later in life. Why the only people that need help are closed minded people. Men have tats women have tats, men wear jeans women wear jeans, and men wear suites women wear suites. Okay so the cut and color are the only thing seperating us. So i wish these closed minded women would take the jeans off that used to be illegal for you to wear or just hush up. It really wont bother me if my two sons wanted to try this. I watched a certain un-news channel and listened to some of the un-news personnel comment.I even watched a guy who calls himself a psychologist make comments.What A Bunch Of Homophobic Morons! I've worked in mental health for many years. In my experience,People hate most in others, what they fear most about them selves. For all of you who are having a problem with this,Are you really that insecure? Do you really think that this child having his toe nails painted will have any lasting effect on his identity? That time with his obviously adoring mother can only be positive. It looks like he's not having a problem with it. If you are then I would have to question how secure you are with your own sexual identity. Maybe you haven't met the right "partner" yet.
Bottom line.... If a child's innocence directs him/her away from societies gender prescriptions then so be it. As children, their jobs are to explore life to the fullest disregarding adult's stereotypes and person opinions. Let them be free, let them happy, let them be THEM! When children grow up they will be slapped in the face with all of these gender "norms" but for now I say more power to the open minded diverse youngsters of our world and the parents who allow this freedom.

I am female, but as a child, I hated dresses, only wanted to wear "boy" clothes, refused to play with dolls, and insteady adored my Roy Rogers six-shooter. I have been happily married for over forty years and have two daughters. No one was upset about that. People are so hung-up and male homosexuality and that any little thing may trigger it that they don't even use their brains. If they EVER did any research, talked to gay men, or any other enlightening activity regarding this subject, they would know that no one is goint to make someone gay, or straight for that matter. It will be nice when humans finally move out of the caves of superstition and ignorance.
