Another fear tactic story to push people to get injections. Anyone care to look at the ingredients in these injections or bother to even ask? More often than not vaccines, especially I know the flu vaccine, still have thimerosol and other "metal" perservatives. And, we continue to wonder why autism and alzheimer rates are still skyrocketing?

Unvaccinated children get autism PRECISELY as often, to the same severity, and at the same ages, as vaccinated children. The link between vaccines and autism is the most ridiculously overstudied issue there is - and there is simply no link. No matter what ingredients, not when the children are followed for decades, no matter who does the study, in studies done by governments, universities, individuals, doctors - there is quite simply no link. Only one study ever said there was - it was financed by trial lawyers, contained fraudulent data, and has been admitted to be completely fraudulent. And it was based on a non-scientific sample of some 15 kids.

There is no link.

Autism rates rise because we're looking for it now - the rate of autism has risen, as the rate of mental retardation has dropped - because the kids that we used to call retarded we now recognize as being autistic. Not to mention that the definition of autism has been broadened to the point that a shy kid who likes to sort things can now be considered autistic.

Also, there are no good data indicated a "skyrocketing" incidence of autism. Another fear tactic to push people away from vaccines.

Whaddya know - believing frauds and lies and faked studies like Wakefield, buying into fearmongering rather than reading real studies - and refusing to vaccinate your kids - it does have a cost. When you ignore reality to buy into fears and people making money from playing on your fears, there can be a cost - a disease spreading that never should have been able to get a foothold.

"Vaccinations, Ashton adds, are "the big problem."" I've got a feeling these words have been twisted or if she did say this it was a large disservice to the human race.

The number of reported cases at nearly six thousand is frightening. Anyone who isn't properly vaccinated against this preventable illness, whether they're a citizen, legal alien or illegal alien, is a criminal. There's no excuse for this to be occurring in this day of advanced preventative medicine. And, I totally agree with BringMoney and cheerybrown.

I wonder if it's possible this terrible bacteria is being re-introduced into our country by unvaccinated illegal immigrants. I wonder if it's true, would it be reported as such? Just wondering.

I believe you are onto something.......but it will not be reported as such because of "political correctness". Heaven forbid the truth and safety of Americans come before the potential of ruffling some feathers with that truth.

You two need to have your heads examined. The bacteria couldn't be "re-introduced" to your country because whooping cough has never gone away! You just never heard a lot about it because it was being controlled by kids having their vaccinations. But because parents have become STUPID, and not having their children vaccinated, we are now seeing an increase.

I find it pathetic that you want to put all the blame on the illegal immigrants when there are just as many Americans that aren't getting their kids vaccinated, either.
SusanStoHelit replies:

Look to unvaccinated citizens - people who bought into that faked and known fraud Wakefield and the lies about autism and vaccines.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
