Who cares about a Roman numeral? This man has served our country only to come home a flawed system. I am glad Obama is reforming our healthcare. It should be available to everyone, not just the "have mores"

This is how America treats it's veterans and poor.

Welcome to the health care of the future. If Obama has his way, we'll all be forced into Universal Health Care and not only will medicine like this be denied, the wait list will be infinitely longer for both non-standard and routine health care. This is what happens when the government runs things.

Actually, if he was Canadian, he'd get his operation pretty quickly and already have it covered. Like my mom getting two knees replaced a little while ago.

No additional charges.

Thank God I don't live in the States.

A friend of mine has one lung left, it slowed her up but she still gets around pretty good for a 75 year old. one lung beats the heck out of no lungs.

And your kind of comment comes from ignorant people like you, who don't know what they are talking about.

He should offer his services as an anti-smoking spokesperson for any of the cigarette companies. They have plenty of money to pay him towards his future medical bills...after all, they helped make him what he is today.

My heart and Prayers go out to the Campbell Family. If I had the money, I would donate it to your family without batting an eye. I would hope someone out there would do the same if they had the finances. I Pray you find doctors who will donate their services to you. I wish you and your family the best. May God Bless you. The CEO of the insurance company is not going to let anything get in the way of maximizing that bonus plan. If the public sees that he is a greedy psychopath, who cares???

"If we had Universal Health Care he could have had the surgery. "

I clearly place all blame on the governments lack of care for an ex vet. Private insurance makes the mob look like Martha Stewart, however to say that univeral health care would have had this done already is a big BIG crock of crap.

Try getting any major surgery in universal health care countries over the age of 40. Also, if he did it to himself, alot of those countries would say sorry it was your own fault. In fact, if this man was simply not able to work anymore, he would have probably been denied the surgery because he can no longer contribute anything back.

THAT is the nature of universal health care. For checkups, cavities, and broken bones, sure its great! For cancer, practically experimental transplants, forget about it. You have better luck trying the surgery on yourself.
