Her Father Thinks Gardasil Might Be; Drug's Maker Denies It
- Very sad to hear. Good luck Jenny. It just goes to show that people can react differently to any medicine, or vaccine. The world of medicinal application is arbitrary, and tentative in nature.

- Okay so I am freaking out. I am 21 and had my first shot about 2 months ago. I was going to make an appointment to get my 2nd in a couple days. You know something? I have felt icky since I had the shot. I have very bad cramping and I''ve been getting hot flashes. I thought I just had a bug or something, but what if it isn''t? Will it hurt me if I only have one shot? I don''t want to get paralyzed or die. I''m too scared to get another one. I think I''ll talk to my doc and see if what I''ve been feeling is from the Gardisil shot.

"Yes, Dear, I did miss it; however if we give it to the boys then we won''''t need to give it to the girls. "
Well isn''t that a wonderful idea - let''s subject only the boys to the risks of a vaccine that has no proven benefit to them, so that girls can reap all the benefits without any risks. How callous and sexist. - Reply to this comment
- I had four kids vaccinated. Each time, I was told about the possible side effects, as well as given a pamphlet on the vaccines. The pharmas are not trying to pull one over on parents - most parents just don''t take the time to become educated and weigh the risks. Once you give permission to your GP to vaccinate - the responsibility for this decision is yours and yours alone, Mom and Dad.

- I have worked in healthcare for a pretty good while.
Hospital workers are strongly advised to recieve Hep.
B vaccine. This program has prevented probably thousands
of workers from contracting Hep B. Unfortunately there
is a "minute" risk of contracting Guilliame-Barre
syndrome, a terrifying potentially deadly ascending
paralysis requiring mechanical ventilation and long term care. Persons taking this vaccine are warned of
this in writing and so forth. Basically the benefits
of vaccines like this far and away "outweigh" the risks of potentially dangerous reactions to the
vaccines. We need to be careful to avoid the mindset
of "you can be trapped by your seatbelt and die"..
Also, the diatribes of liberal vs conservative is a
little out of place here, and no, the pharmaceutical
companies are not my favorite folks, but it gets a
little old, to hear every issue dissolve into a Rush
Limbaugh program-type hash out. - Reply to this comment
- The comment that your body will become immune to what is necessary is partly true. Through natural selection, after hundreds of years, I''m sure that the ones that didn''t develop the immunity will be out of the gene pool.

- The "mandatory" part of the proposed Texas law was intended to make insurance companies pay for it, and allow free clinics for those that couldn''t afford it. All any Texas parent has to do to avoid any vaccination of any kind is to simply fill out a form. No need for a doctor''s note, no need to profess religious objection, just a parent saying no. And then the child can attend any Texas public school with no problem. So if anyone wants the vaccination, they simply pay the $400 per child and opt in. That is a powerful deterrent in Texas.

- Don''t vaccinate your kid! Wait for them to catch the full blown fully functional rapidly multipling virus perhaps it wont kill them.

- denn034: "Liberals tout this vaccine..."
Are you kidding? Liberals? I think you drank too much Rush Limbaugh last night... Does Ann Coulter take you to fake and bake too much?
Yeah liberals like GOP Texas Gov Perry that made the shots mandatory... "Republican Governor of Texas, Rick Perry... fast-track(ed) this vaccine by issuing an executive order that would make the shots compulsory for all sixth grade girls."
"The press discovered Perry''s ties to Merck: Not only did his former chief of staff now work as a lobbyist for Merck but the Governor had accepted $6,000 in campaign contributions from Merck''s political action committee. It didn''t look good."
"On April 25, 2007, the Texas legislature overruled Governor Perry''s order, forbidding mandatory vaccination until at least 2011." Thank God there some people with brains down there (we were wondering). - Reply to this comment
- Boy I''m glad I''m not in one of the Legislatures that made these vacines mandatory-
I wonder if Texas Gov. Perry got one personally or just forced others to...
What lobbyists can buy for peanuts...
Our poor public at the mercy of liars and fools. - Reply to this comment
- "You people should be quarantined on your own island and take all the peanut allergy kids with you too. It something YOU are doing. None of this nonsense existed years ago."

MyOpinion1: Do you really not understand that ''peanut allergy kids'' - all these terrible allergies going on these days, to the ultimate point of anaphylaxis - that this phenomenon comes from the effects of vaccines? That they contain various proteins and things that through such effects as molecular mimicry, cause the body to react in an inflammatory way beyond just to the ingredients of the vaccines. This is the origin of so much autoimmune disease going on in our day and age, including the likes of type 1 diabetes, arthritis/arthralgia, MS - the list goes on. This is not the fault of parents, except insofar as they have taken their GP''s word for the safety of the vaccines they have allowed to be administered to their children. Don''t blame the parents; blame the corporate mentality that is taking over the country. We need the truth about the whole downside of vaccines to come out. And then we can go from there - from the base of informed consent. - Reply to this comment
- "Hundreds of thousands die every year from cervical cancer. It''''s sad to think that many of them could have been saved, and that some of those now may not due to fear from one singular coincidence."

The mind boggles. ''One singular coincidence''? There are thousands of reports of serious adverse events to this vaccine, including death. This is a giant snow job going on, by the medical-pharmaceutical-government complex that is taking over, including the MSM. Gardasil is Merck''s answer to their financial hole created by the Vioxx debacle. The campaign to make it mandatory is fueled by big bucks. We are not individuals to these people; we are guinea pigs, and herds. Investigate in depth, parents. You are being had, by experts. - Reply to this comment

- My daughter also suffers from an unnamed neuromuscular disease resulting from the second Gardasil shot. She has Rhabdomyolis which is a muscle compression disease, currently with symptoms of Fibromyalgia and Rhumatoid Arthritis as well as other symptoms. I also have a friend whose 12 year old daughter suffered for almost a year and 1/2 with a muscle condition and still does. Both girls had Cat Scratch Fever and my daughter is allergic to metal. We were not aware until after that the vaccination contains aluminum. There lives will never be normal. My daughter was a gymnist and my friends daughter was an ice skater. Some days she can''t get out of bed and it''s been since last August.
Any one thinking of getting their child vaccinated, don''t. - Reply to this comment
- Rational thought...
She developed this illness naturally. There are countless degenerative muscle diseases that strike at any times at any age.
Posters that decry this vaccine as dangerous are those that have similar opinions of vaccines in general.
Polio was killing thousands of people a year, a plague among the young. Should we have just let nature run its course and take out those that could not fight the virus? That is a tough call and would like to see it made by a reasonable individual.
To some, 5 years is not enough for testing. Millions of young woman are now protected from cancer...and this is a bad thing? - Reply to this comment
