This article has a point about flip flops, just like wearing high heels is not good for your feet. I don''t see what some you people are whining about.

Flip flops are as close to being barefoot as possible. Where you all born with shoes on?

Guess nothing at all is going on in the world today, so CBS has nothing to report. All it could do was dredge up this several-week-old report and post it as if it were actually news. It wasn''t news when it first was posted and it isn''t news now. Come on, CBS - we expect better from you than THIS!

After seeing someone lose a flip-flop to an escalator and then almost devour the toes on the person''s feet, that did it for me for wearing them outside the house. Was pretty cool though to watch that flip-flop get shredded, as long as we saw the person was all right.

What an interesting and entertaining rhetoric. Flip Flops as opposed to shoes(canvas sneakers). When I was a kid I never wore shoes in the summer except for church and Sunday School. I ran barefoot over rocks and weeds and anything that happened to be where I was running. Of course things change...

Almost everyday I see kids riding bicycles around the neighborhood with flip-flops on. Drives me nuts, just asking for a busted foot. We make such a big deal outta helmuts, but never hear anything about proper footwear on a bike.

Brilliant article. I''m looking forward to the one where they''ll go into excruciating detail on the pros and cons of not tying shoelaces.

Say what you will about this report but my wife slip wearing a pair of flip flops and broke her foot. This report has some merit.

Just an extension of GOP fear mongering. Keep everyone afraid of everything. I''ve been wearing flip-flops (aka ***-slaps) for years sans problem.

easy to solve... open toed shoes are against school rules.

Now, if only we could get those *** female teachers to stop wearing them so the students could follow an example.... ;)

Such an important news story in a time of floods, and terrorism and crazies with their fingers on the little red button.
