Yeah, just like Mark Furmann was agreat cop for a long time too. Then he did something very questionable, which called his credibility into question.
Same for Dan Rather. And, rather should suffer the same penality as Furman did. - Reply to this comment
- Anyone -- Republican, Democrat, Independent... whatever -- who puts their confidence in polling statistics is going to be happy on one occasion and unhappy on another.

- Republicans weren't the one praising the approval poll numbers for the past 6 months....Libs lived on poll numbers to prove how great the great-O was....so when it's not going so well, you abandon the poll numbers ?? sorry, your celebrity's stardom is falling

- Mr. Obama can only take us so far whether his approval rathing drops or not. Times as hard and we have no option but to ride this one out. We cannot expect him to run the government alone while we sit back and complain. How can we help him move our country forward? Do we really want to get out of the mud bath we've created? What are we willing to do? Can we put our own interests aside and work together to move ahead?

"For Ghana, Obama's visit will be a celebration of another milestone in African history as it hosts the first-ever African-American President on this presidential visit to the continent of his birth."
His Grandmother said he was born in Kenya, she witnessed his birth. African press says he was born there. Will we ever have this truth reported in main line media?

"Truth', you say? Here's the truth: Obama WON the 2008 presidential election. Still haven't gotten over that defeat, have you? - Reply to this comment
- The number of people attending Organizing For America events has increased significantly since January, leading one to believe the polls are more dissatisfaction with the state of th economy. With the grass roots movement still in tow, President Obama only needs 50.1% to move his agenda.

- The only real mistake BHO is making is an attempt at bipartisan input, when the 'pubs are still in BigAssNO-mode. And they'll stay in that mode until they decide to stop their decline into a southern regional party.
BHO needs to grow a pair, shrug off the 'con noise, and do the job he was elected to do.

- The approval numbers followed some significant events - automaker's bankruptcies, which caused high numbers in the unemployment scene.
The economy as it stands today - has changed directions to a no-growth / no-loss or neutral condition, and is expected to gradually change and begin to grow again within the next 60 days. The Second Qtr financials won't reflect neutral economic conditions, since there is a lag, but the 3rd Qtr financials will show neutral to growth conditions.
Another source of disapproval is over the war participation, which needs about 9 more months.
When the war is ended, LGB issues can be pursued at full speed.
When the 2010 campaign season opens next June, our nation will be crazy with news. The news media will have to work overtime to cover every thing, including the war crime that caused mass graves for 2,000 Taliban POW's. The GOP will have a difficult time gaining any support when the country finds out this war crime occurred under the noses of the GOP.
Some feel the war crime for 2,000 POW's, the enhanced interrogation, and the prolonged Guantanomo detainee situation all have their hands tied together and reflect an alarming pattern of GOP abuses of power. - Reply to this comment
